World-famous master engine builder Bill from BK Race Engines takes us through the restoration and engine build of his Ford Falcon XA GT, and how he took it from gutless to glorious!
Love it. Aesthetically stock-standard, mechanically a hot streeter. Love the look and sound the owner definitely has the right idea on how to treat these vehicles!
That is a gorgeous car Bill. And mate we buy and drive these old cars because we love how they feel and sound when we drive them, tell me I'm wrong. Awesome car man.
Its too bad the 351 Cleveland got mothballed by Ford so early! After 1973 it was gone! By the way I am American and one of the first times I saw a Falcon from the land down under was in one of the Mad Maxx movies! I remember trying to figure out what kind of Ford it was because it had Mustang looking hood scoops but the body was different, totally cool and I wanted one!
Top job..!!! Magic and I absolutely agree the XA was the toughest looking thing ever to come out of a Ford factory..... If that was my car the only change I would make is paint out the red suspension crossmembers you can see from the front underneath to make it all black but that would be it.....
Unfortunately that exactly the way they were built from the factory, in most cases the front spoiler hides it. I agree it looks odd but intentional we oversprayed under the car like it would have been done.
Awesome FALCON mate. Damn I miss those cars. Lived in Sydney all thru the 90s. Had a couple of real nice TORANAS and a few boys had some sweet falcons. The Friday nite cruises and eastern creek on the Wednesday nights. Some great cars and great memories. Cars in Ireland are junk. Can't beat Aussie muscle. Best that was ever made. 💪👍
@@michaelparadisis4076 Ah I beg to differ man. The Aussie muscle cars ain't no slouch. Do yourself a favour and checkout the XYGT HO FALCON. Or the HG MONARO. And the ultimate LX TORANA A9X Hatchback. Give Any yank a run for its money. Smaller lighter and faster. Better suspension and brakes. And don't forget Mad Max and his XBGT FALCON COUPE. And we both love and respect each other's cars. The 68 Yenko camaro for me is the ultimate American muscle car. 😎💪💪
@@killirl32 I own a big block 70 SS Chevelle and a Falcon XA GT. Aussie muscle is cool however most have too many doors. An XY GT looks hideous compared to American muscle. HK-T Monaro looks insane and I believe the best Aussie muscle. Looks and prowess. 4v Clevo In HO’s was a fabulous engine. Understandably so American muscle has so much variety-two door is the only way. Anything other is a tarted up family car. 68 is my favourite Camaro. You’re right about the Yenko.
It is so satisfying to know that there is another self educated ( as we both know that the dealer network did not ever perform in the staff education on this particular production parts list variation .) and passionately versed in variations between 38's , and the 39 cars .
