I don’t think I’ve ever seen 8bit drummer struggle before today, but it actually took him a full verse-chorus to figure out the rhythm. Testament to wurtz’ genius?

I was about to say, he’s usually on point, even with songs he hasn’t heard before, but he was actually thrown off by this. Guess it just goes to show how unique Bill’s stuff is, and like you said, how much of a musical genius he is.

Well not really time changes (in this song at least) but some really funky emphasis in the bars, like the third "la de da de - LA d- de dum dum" part in every (?) chorus, threw me off properly when I first heard it. That's really some awesome songwriting, so catchy but never boring.

well yeah when you're playing along with a song for the first time after long enough you start to pick up on the way it's built. the thing is that 8BD is really good with the drums and with music in general so he does that better than most people
