Put the screaming back bloody hell better than the pop shite but she's no jazz singer trouble is kids will buy this because it's her so why don't they and look and buy some classic jazz singers they won't
Lady Gaga's voice was made for jazz. Please come correct. The song isn't difficult to sing, so it's easy to get it to sound good/unique. Like this performance is actually kinda sub-par for someone who won 6 grammys in one night. it was very OKAY actually but it isn't WOW which is sad because it's such an easy song to sing and slay
@@richardpadoa1982 I think you're kinda missing the point on this comment. Angelina Jordon has a fine voice, but Billie has a massive, young fanbase. If she puts even one jazz standard on her next album, more people will hear it than have heard all the jazz crooners collectively since the other Billie passed away. You must know that jazz has become a niche genre with a relatively small, but very dedicated following. I would like to see jazz receive more exposure, personally.
Better yet, Michael Buble should cover it again too, but with Billie Eilish together. Can you imagine Michael Buble and Billie Eilish doing this song together? I was right all along, there is a comparison. XD
Dude i love her outfit sm and the way she sings this is just so captivating. This also proves that her voice is perfect for literally any genre from rock to jazz
🤩🤩👏👏👏🤩🤩🥵🥵🥵🥵🥶👏👏👏👏👏👏🧻🧻after I am done ✔😌🙂😴and the world is not even more than I can do it on the first favorite of this year and we will see if you are not the only thing you need to do to make it happen to me with
@@Mexxx65 Some people just hate for the purpose of hating. I've never listened to one Billie Eilish song in full and generally don't like her music and style, but this is just great
This woman’s cover of Michael Jacksons Bad blew me away, this just blew me out the galaxy, so excited to see her growing there is no limit to what this beautiful soul can accomplish.
The wildest thing about this, it's just raw, pure, live - nothing but the artist. I would pay a ridiculous sum to see Billie back to back with Hiromi, Anthony Jackson and Steve Smith all on the same stage, that'd be a lifetime event for sure.
Her original music always showcased her as a great singer. But when you hear a musician outside of their regular context and they nail it, it gives me that much more respect for her talent. Bilie stay strong!
Just WOW! I'm an old man who thinks Billie Eilish is the total package. I grew up listening to my parents play the Peggy Lee rendition of "Fever" on their stereophonic hifi. I've heard all of the covers from many singers, and there are many out there, and Billie's version is easily the Best. Mad respect to Beyonce and her cover as 2nd best.
Oh wow!! This is so great!!! She is growing up in so many ways all the time! This piece is difficult to sing, classy in its timelessness, an honour to perform, and with such a band. The fact that she is singling such music is a mark of taste.
This right here gives someone like me -- not in her demographics and only aware of her "explosion" in pop culture -- so much hope! I am now an "accidental" fan! I love being wrong. She nails this performance. Pure and simple. The self-assured joy on her face is so cool. Just like Peggy. And I think Miss Lee is proud of her. 👏👏👏
Ha, welcome aboard! Believe it or not, she doesn’t target a particular demographic, it’s just that 15 year old girls can scream louder than 52 year old men. Ahem. There are millions of us older Billie fans, don’t you worry. 😅 If I may be so bold as to suggest another live gem … this is her suicide note, sung and played by her at just 17. The silence of the crowd is deafening. Enjoy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ie2Xv2dD1Bg.html
@@alternateunreleasedshellac505why do you keep replying to anyone that says anything remotely positive about billie… comment once that you disagree, no need to be obsessive ab it.
Wow, she never ceases to amaze me. Absolutely beautiful voice and performance! She can truly since anything, she's so talented. And she's only 20... skies the limit for her :)
Her recent album and this performance really reminded me of her beginnings. Who says she can’t sing? Just because she sometimes want to make repetitive songs and dance songs, doesn’t mean she can’t pull off a classic like this.
@@adrian1metal2 i’m not talking about anybody… i’m highlighting her talent… why whenever somebody has a talent y’all have to bring someone else to downgrade their talent ughhh !!
This reminds me of Carly Simon's album "Torch" when I was a teen - she did an entire album of jazz standards, and caused me to discover why they are "standards". Ms. Eilish has a great voice, and such joy in this song.
GREAT performnce; this lady is the real deal... in any genre you'd care to mention... and I just LOOOVED the "can drop" (at 2:50); who could possibly hold their drink any longer!😆🥃 FANTASTIC! Mike D.
I have waiting and hoping for this younger generation to sing Miss Peggy Lee , thank you Billie, you are worth the wait. Peggy Lee would be proud, your fantastic.
Not only that, but she is executive producer (meaning, I think, the money as well) behind a new movie biography of Peggy Lee. She's a huge fan. Girl has taste.
Jan 31, 2024 - I love this by Billie and can't figure out why more REACTORS haven't looked at it if they really want see how gifted a vocalist Billie really is - Christian McBride is really a duet partner with Billie in this cover of Peggy Lee's "Fever" just as he is for the SNL Billie version of "Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas" with brother Finneas at Piano and Billie's drummer Andrew Marshall on the brushes - what will it take to convince naysayers - actually there is no way to convince them. Billie is as real and true as other gifted singers and thankfully, many who have appreciated and loved other artists from Billie Holiday to Amy Winehouse to Adele to Ariana and Taylor Swift and recognize her gifts and talents - this was a foretaste of the jazzy 20 yr. old Billie learning her craft and sharing it. P.S. I live 190 miles NE of the Peggy Lee Exhiibit in Wimbledom, ND at the MIDLAND CONTINENTAL DEPOT TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM where Norma Deloris Engstrom's father managed the depot and wanted to see the Peggy Lee roots/story before Billie sang at the Hollywood Bowl - Peggy Lees's actual first name same as another great artist/personality NORMA JEAN MORTENSON - MARILYN MONROE - two great Norma(s). [remember Billie's ode to Marilyn Monroe at the Met Gala - VOGUE, Sept. 16, 2021 {perhaps also BARBIE}. Yes, I am a 70 yr. Billie fan because I believe in her gifts and authencity/originality.
I think Billie is more versatile with her own style among musical genres in her low range than Madonna, but we will see in her future .. the potential is huge but she is still experimenting both vocally and with her music, when she will have gained confidence and will have specialized in everything acquiring more vocal support and confidence with chest voice .. it will be amazing what she will do …

Honestly she is in the wring genre. She is made for music like this instead of whisper singing all of her depressed emo stuff. She is a lot more talented than she lets people see.
