I think this is my new favorite Billie song, surpassing Ocean Eyes and Bad Guy. I love all of her music, but this one it absolutely stellar! She is so talented.
yes those were all real cars and the video was only 1 shot! she's honestly amazing and i couldn't be more exited to hear the rest of the album that's coming out july 30th! Her last album was basicly envolved around a nightmare and depression and this album is about another type of nightmare envolving abuse, harassment and toxic relationships.
@@biodorkus Yes ik. but also if you notice she only has a tear streaming down on her right eye. And people say that when a tears falls down on your right eye is from happiness and in the left eye id from sadness. I feel like this albu is her being happier than ever because maybe she will be telling us a story with her album, and now she's past that and is happy. idk just my theory
Great reaction. You caught a lot on a first listen. Billie shared behind the scenes footage on her Instagram, including video of mom, Maggie being very nervous for her daughter. It looks crazy dangerous in the video but the even more so in the "real life" footage.
I think you can tell how having synesthesia has shaped Billie’s videos and Finneas’ production. Simplistic on the surface but ALWAYS multidimensional. I stopped reading into all her lyrics literally. Those 3 figures following her in the beginning are Finneas, Mom and Dad. Fame came at her, and them , hard and fast. Then they figures multiply. And the cars come at you, follow you. The cars are the fame. The blinding light is fame. She, as artists do, went towards the light. She’s learned that those bright lights are blinding. And then they came AT her. At first you crave the fame. Then you crave the darkness. I know what “ you” are. You = Fame. It hit her hard. It drove her into darkness ( mentally, emotionally etc). I think she’s f*cking fantastic! Finneas is brilliant. And she was right when she said in an interview that she’d be ‘ precisely nothing’ without him. She wouldn’t have been permitted her art. And nobody could produce Billie other than Finneas. The ultimate in trusting someone. And I honestly don’t know how TF their parents instilled in them both so much grounding, especially in LA. Mad props to ALL the O’Connells!
@Sandy Gan I think of it as them having her back.Even when she can’t see them. Even when they aren’t literally behind her. And once you hit a certain level of fame I think it’s a universal question: who’s really there for you and not for what you have to offer. I cannot imagine how much comes at you when you are in a position like Billie. The need for a NDA for even the most innocuous activity speaks volumes. Social media has proven to be a horrible beast for a greater part of society’s youth, exponentially so for those who are Uber famous. I wish I had a Billie Eilish when I was growing up. She’s human. She’s real. And she’s open and honest about her struggles with it all and how she really didn’t want to live for a period of time. And we are all better for that; because ( hopefully) those kids and young adults who drive up ticket sale to see her will identify ( I certainly do and I am a 50+ woman with kids her age. And as a mom I don’t quite have words to express how much I LOVE Maggie and Patrick. Honestly, can you think of ANY other parents of “ kids in the industry “ who sweep/ clean the stage pre show? Help out with the rigging and set production? Filter through the numerous things- interviews, shows, promotions, etc and HAVE YOUR ONLY QUESTION BE “ Will this be too much or not right or uncomfortable for my kid?” And ONLY bring those that pass go to the table for Billie? With the main question, repeated time and time again, “ Are you sure? Do you still want to do this? And most importantly, it’s okay to say NO! Which I believe Billie pretty much said when she admitted’ Yeah, money is powerful. But saying No is Way more powerful. We live in a social media obsessed (and distorted) world that has embraced the bullshit that is “ cancel culture “ . I’m pissed when I see her accused of “ mouthing racial slurs “ that ARE SONG LYRICS! Don’t hate the player, hate the game. STOP USING THEM! ALL OF THEM! VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING IS,IN ONE WAY/ FORM OR ANOTHER “ Cultural Appropriation “. Let’s rename that …” Cultural APPRECIATION “.
Wow!!! Billie does not ever disappoint the behind the scenes is freaking scary as hell especially for her mother ! WTF BILLIE EILISH DOES IT AGAIN & AGAIN AND AGAIN OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN !!!
Your reaction is the one i was waiting for! You appreciate Billie and her uniqueness! I still want to go dancing with you. lol Just make sure all the songs are Billie
Was waiting for this Newfie, not disappointed! Btw you're like the only person to realise why she puts black screen at the end, lol. Great song, hyped for the album
Yesss Finally, loved ur reaction ❤️❤️❤️ This song is just so unique It's like a mix of bad guy , all the good girls go to hell , bury a friend, xanny , ilomilo and my strange addiction It's amazing I hope it gets as much popularity as bad guy , it's a true work of art, a masterpiece ❤️❤️ Probably one of my fav of all the tracks released till now .
It’s not even about her career it’s about her stocker who showed up to her house knocked on the door and asked her dad if that’s Billie Eilish his house and the dad told him to leave and it was a grown ass man he was 24 and he wouldn’t leave he sat on the porch and then Security made him leave and he came back seven times that day so they finally had to call the police and file a restraining order so he’s not allowed it anything associated to her or near the property and she said in an interview few months later that he took her only safe place away and it sucks because it was her happiest place her childhood home and he took it from her so now she doesn’t have a safe place other than driving in her car in the dark late at night by herself and she said sometimes she gets so overwhelmed feeling that she needs to just walk down the middle of an abandoned street in the middle of the night to clear her head and to get away from it all so she bought a house and because of the safety concern because of this guy showing up acting a Radick and giving the reasoning to the police and court that he’s satan and he was sent to meet her she just doesn’t feel safe anymore so now if you go to her house or her parents house or anything to do with their privacy you have to sign an NDA for everyone’s safety which is ridiculous she also said that it made her feel like the entire world was so distorted looking around her if she could be looking straight to your face and she still felt like she was spinning and seeing multiple of you because her head was spending so much from all of the anxiety she just wanted to go back to Kawai which is where she had her vacation that all these pictures of her and her swimsuit showed up anyway she wanted to go back there because everybody left her alone and it was a private area and she was able to just do what she wanted and be free and she feels like she gave up too much of her self to her fans and she feels like it’s her fault that he got so obsessed with her when now that she’s gone to therapy she’s realized it was just him and somethings are actually just wrong with him she didn’t do anything wrong it’s a really cool interview I think It was Rolling Stones and then there’s another one where she goes more in depth about it I just can’t remember the other one
