Billie Holiday at the Apollo: I'll Be Seeing You (1944) 

Hello once again friends. I know it's been awhile (again). I am currently in my senior year of college and now live in San Francisco. 2018 also marks ten years that I've had this channel and have been making video for you guys which is a huge milestone. I know I've been inconsistent with posting videos over the past few years due to school but it really is my mission to start making this channel active again and restarting the Facebook group and more.
This video is the second in a "series" of videos of Billie appearing at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. This is one of the earliest known recordings of Lady appearing at the theater on December 6, 1944 with Hot Lips Page and his orchestra and his orchestra. Here she sings one of the most popular songs of the year, "I'll Be Seeing You," a song she recorded earlier in the spring for Commodore Records. This was originally a WMCA radio broadcast.
