No one has topped that since and those who try (Sharapova, Kvitova, Bouchard etc), are quickly swiped away and they are never the same again. The politics and race issues are different and have no bearing on their Tennis Techniques. The foundations/strict upbringing coupled with love and understanding of world events they received from their parents and family generally was solid and remains so till today. They were grounded and were made to believe they are the best at Tennis. So Tennis was the platform and launchpad upon which they launched themselves into other areas of Society. They used their brilliance in Tennis to break through barriers in Society and not the other way around! Without their brilliance in Tennis as a ‘Stand-Alone’ factor, they wouldn’t be the voice and as influential as they are now. Of course they have other gifts like their educational degrees etc but the unusual nature of their Tennis History makes them unbelievable. They were Tennis players and winners even before their parents conceived them. How magical is that 🌪💫💥👑✨😍❤️🙏🏾

Similar Game style in places but they lack the consistent ‘No Nonsense’ Tiger-like dominance and overall power that Serena introduced to the game. Even hitting bigger than the men.

@@cola7up43 Absolutely Agree 👍🏾 That level of ‘Power Display’ of Tennis only belongs to Serena & Venus (when she was fit & didn’t have the debilitating condition called Sjogren Syndrome which she lives with now!!) No one can sustain that level without being injured every so often. None of these girls today will ever match the Serena/Venus Game-style. Venus & Serena’s parents went against the Tennis Rule book and introduced that type of Tennis to their daughters. It was too powerful for Hingis, Henin and even Graf. Capriati survived for a short while then retired.

I will stop watching WTA if/when Serena goes. I still don’t believe she’s retiring. She just said she’s “Evolving” from Tennis as she hates the words ‘Retire’ and ‘Goodbye’. She’ll be back 🤞🏾🙌🏾

Graf was my absolute favourite before the Williams Sisters because of the way she played and I didn’t think anyone could raise the Bar of the WTA Game any higher because of the Genius Athleticism of Graf. She was A True German Fuel-efficient Machine but then from another planet came the Williams Sisters led by Venus. Have you checked the Head to Head between Serena & Graf? Did you see how Serena dominated Graf in the latter part of 1999?

In your dreams. She was getting her ass kicked that's why she retired. She stood no chance in her 30's against Venus, Serena, Lindsay, Justine, Kim, Capriati etc.
