@@JoeNaeem Well… yes but c’mon, this is a bird standard. Parker was known for his complex improvisation and his crazy lines. It seems as if we are insulting both the musician and listener by suggesting the musicians playing can be easily grasped by us lowely listeners but birds playing would be a bit too much? Don’t you agree?
@@eastonunderwood5180 It seems like I left this comment 6 years ago. I can’t remember what was in my mind when I wrote it. Maybe “simple” WAS the wrong word. Maybe I just meant clean, like “smooth.” I can’t be sure. I have no particular opinion or insight to offer on Bird’s playing. It sounds like you have pretty strong feelings about Bird’s playing… feel free to share more about that if you like
@@JoeNaeem oh I will to be sure… but first I will admit to understanding you’re reasoning behind your word choices. Bird was a creative soul, a different breed to put it simply. If only bird were to live a little longer and maybe we’d have been exposed to even more new ideas and phrases that he might have had in store. Thank you.
Claire, your tone is great and you swing your ass off (don't let insecure idiots who can only criticize people get you down). You are on the road to awesomeness. Evan, I really like your feel and tasty solo and Levi lays it down. Nice trio!
WOW! Beautiful this soft tone on tenorsax😍. Glad to have come across this upload, thanks. The piano player is great 🎼 reminds me abit of Joye Alexander style.
Merci claire et bonne chance à vous. hello claire! thanks a lot for this particular moment of swing. may more women follow your choice! with you sensuality of the saxophone is brighter. regards from paris.
hey ! i'm just 10 years late but what does it matter... and tonight at the Impro Montreal for you and Valérie Lacombe...half an hour late....but as you do not seem to age at all... ( God almighty...like...weren't a baby back in 2013 ? ) it can't be that dramatic...right ! ? 👣💚 Now...for my comment.... Your saxophone must be the happiest of horns. Much Love Claire.
