Wow, amazing work, mahi! You just can't stop cooking, and billie is the cutest thing ever. 😭 The way you get shots looks like a legitmate doc on tv, honestly the best filmshots and storytelling i've seen yet. 😂❤ Hope you continue to make more of these. They're so good!! ♡
The best documentary by far. I was watching it, forgetting that's was from PoT itself ! Everything seems perfectly balanced, the tenses moments with predators, the cute parts were Billie learnt to swim and meet some hadrosaurs... I just wish we can see more of this documentary, until now I'm subscribing :))
Am late.. But queen👑 i had to take a break from the video to come into this comment section and post this bc i am mesmerized, shocked and obsessed with dinosaur documentaries are so amazing keep up the work❤ And I can't wait to see another video like this one😭💖👏🏻
First time coming across your video, great idea 💡 and the editing is awesome! I would never know this was a game (if i didnt know 😅😂) gained a sub here great job well done 👏👌
This is gorgeous in every way. You nailed the words to tell the story, the voice, the shots, the balance between depth of field etc - holy shizzzz this is next level. Truely one of the best documentaries I’ve seen. Quality is insane, some shots felt so darn real! I have a question if you don’t mind: in your depth of field, I see no pixelation in the objects blurred out in the foreground. What ever I do, I have pixelation - sometimes more than other times. May I ask: is this recorded on PC? Or something else? The quality is extremely noticeable, absolutely fantastic. You make top notch videos, I hope your account will grow BIG! ❤
Hi, thank you so much for you comment, I'm really glad you liked it! As for your question, I play on PC and I have all my graphics in cinematic quality. I also record in 4K with Geforce. I don't know what to tell you about the pixelation. On Gondwa, I've noticed that backgrounds with mountains, for example, always look weird with depth of field, especially when the weather is sunny. So I often set the weather to "cloudy" and play with the light. That way, you don't see as much of this kind of imperfection! I hope this helps a little ❤
@@MahikahnE ahaaaa that sounds like an insanely powerful PC. You clearly use it to its full extent because it shows! And what you are saying about the mountains etc is so true, the whole field is blurry and than suddenly there’s sharp clear mountains. 😂 Thank you for the reply, this defenitely helps, the cloudy setting makes it all softer which indeed helps a lot!
@@EvaShilasFlipBhaha it's the same with Panjura and the trees! I swear you put depth of field, but the foliage is looking weird and not blurry at all 😂 Gotta find ways to work around that until replay mode is a bit more optimized. I found that my animal was not using its swimming animation in the replay, so that's also something to work around 😬
@@MahikahnE I completely know what you are talking about! 💀 I hope the devs will update and fix all that, it is a bit challenging sometimes lol. I shared your video in My Community on my channel, this needs WAY more exposure. Hopefully I can help a little. ❤️
I watched it not long ago too, and it really inspired me. You can tell by this one song I used ahah! And I realized that we don't have many PoT documentaries narrated by women's voices, so here we go 🥰
Damn, must have been the music yeah. I also wanted to use a female voice for narration, but I just can't find one that I like at the moment ;) Thx for replying@@MahikahnE
This is really cool!! Your camera work is beautiful. Like a proper BBC dino doc : ) I'm curious how you directed other players. Did you plan out each scene and have the players act it out, or did you film people playing normally and then cut the footage into a story? Either way, awesome!!
Hi! Thank you for your comment! ❤ I didn't direct anyone and no one knew they were going to be filmed for a documentary; everything was filmed in my replays. I just wrote as I went along in the main replay. 😄
Forgive my language but HOLY SH** this is good. It’s perfect. Did you write the narration yourself? You found the perfect words, could have been a Nat Geo narrator. My gosh this is insanely great. The video continues to interest me until the end. SUPER well done!!!!! ❤
Thank you very much! And yes, I did write it. I was writing while recording what was happening, so I got a little carried away with my feelings, and watching Nat Geo's Queens series recently may have also helped my storytelling. 😆I'm glad you liked it ❤
Where did you get the Baldurs Gate narrator to voice this? Like what site. This is absolutely beautiful and how were you able to pan the camera so perfectly!? My shaky hands could never!
Thank you!! I used ElevenLabs for the voice, and I played with the settings in the replay tool: I adjusted the Interpolation Amount in the replay tool to create smooth camera movements. Hope that helps!
god shit like this is why i wish pot would focus on updating mobility instead of releasing dinos, docs like these rly show just how beautiful the game is but its soooo janky and sluggish when u actually play
I play on the Project Genesis server! It's hardcore realism but the rules are simple to follow. You can find everything there is to know here : projectgenesisteam.wixsite.com/project-genesis ❤
Hello! No at all, you simply need to understand and follow the few rules and to carefully read the profiles of the dinosaurs you want to play as. There are Mentoring Sessions and Training Expedition for new players (and well, all players who wants to participate) and a "Question" channel if you have any doubts about anything. 😄
