Because, most people today do not receive a balanced education and it’s too late after graduating from University to spend time on other fields since one’s own field of expertise usually has a lot of depth, especially when it’s a technical field. Thus, you have a lot of people who are capable of critical thought that have a very superficial level of knowledge on other matters. Then, you have a no so capable group of people from non-technical fields that lack critical thinking skills enough to question the radical ideas and see the problems with them. Unless they realize those gains, there isn’t anything to tax them on. They don’t have much of an actual income, that’s why you see billionaires having $1 as their personal incomes.
