The parents are correct. Music isn't helping anyone. It's good as a hobby but not as a career. If you want to help people mentally, there's other ways to do that, like becoming a psychologist, nurse, lawyer, consultant, etc. Not a singer. The parents literally encouraged her to get into Stanford, that's more important. Stanford also has a music department I'm pretty sure. But it'd be better to be realistic + try to make an actual difference in the world.

"I think we know what needs to be done now." helen says, as she shows the flyer to grayson, and they leave the house to head to dharla's diner: AKA where ava's heading now. (the scene then continues from 28 : 11)

I could not agree more. I knew a girl, who I was in love with, who has parents, and a brother, that judges people before getting to know them. Hey, they even judged me before getting to know me, because I was an online friend of her's. They assumed that I was an online predator. I could never understand those kinds of parents', and siblings', judgements, her's or others. I see those kinds of parents, and/or siblings, as them having an insecure need to tell themselves that they are doing what's best for their children, or siblings, when really, they're too afraid of letting them go

@@dvex5724 whether you believe that or not why not still support your kid? would you rather them live the way you want them to so they're always miserable? parents like these are the reasons some kids decide to end their own lives. these parents would rather control their kid and have them be depressed rather than accept them for who they are. even if it's not ideal the child may come to their senses eventually but even if they don't its accept them or accept losing them.

I've been Goth for 16 years. I'm also a Metallhead.. 16 yrs too. I listen to Goth Rock, Darkwave, and Deathrock and Technical Death Metal etc.. I dress Goth/Alt mainly. I'm a very chill person too.. I paint, draw and create music.. I know it's pointless trying to convience others that not all goths are bad or this or that.. as a person who is Goth and dresses this way.. it just makes me feel comfortable, safe and chill.. compared to an Old Navy shirt lol... I like some Old Navy clothing tbh. 😅
