Literally just said that Billie really came out to fill the void left by the lack of GWSN new music. Very probably my 2 favorite overall discographies in k-pop
omg I knowww like some loona songs with a similar vibe give me this particular feeling. And listening to this billlie album and getting that same feeling made me hear loona members singing?? my brain was so confused 😭 top tier album
I feel like billlie resembles loona a lot, music, vocals, mvs and lore. I'm an orbit I'm always gonna love the loona members whether they still together or not, and getting these new groups with such good music makes me as happy as before
nevertheless is just that song that makes me transcend reality and ascend me to another dimension, like I feel some people don’t realize how good is this song it’s definitely a contestant for my song of the year
7:48 IT'S SHEON! she is main dancer and lead rapper, she was consestant in gp999 and got eliminated in the final episode SHE WAS 10TH IM SO GLAD SHE GOT IN BILLLIE
16:08 I like how you tried to see it from a more positive perspective as well. I see many people wishing that Billlie, and also other lesser known groups to the public, to be more popular (which I totally get by the way), but I'm not sure if some also realise that it could come at the cost of their musical identity if the company decides to go for a more public-friendly sound, if that makes sense? It would be a shame if they did that with Billlie for sure. If you look at Dreamcatcher for example, who never really steered away too far from their distinctive sound, which isn't that public-friendly: they are doing pretty good for themselves as they can depend on their stable fandom, and seem to be happy with the state they are in, so a similar trajectory for Billlie wouldn't sound bad to me.
Best album from Billlie so far. Would've been our perfect r&b album if not for "that" one track lol. various and precious, and extraordinary sounds very 70s/80s new age music with some mix of fusion. Idk how to describe it, but it sounds very celestial, if that makes sense.
Various and Precious took me to CHURCH. Would love to see a live version of it with the keyboardist completely going off the rails on the solo, because 10 seconds was too short 🥲
you could be surprised to see some fans wanting lion heart to be the title 😮 and also saying they are disappointed that eunoia is the title like you have to be maddd. eunoia is a perfect title
nevertheless is definitely my favorite immediately, i think my only gripe with billlie’s discography is that i kind of lose interest in a lot of their songs at the chorus because i feel like they have amazing verses but then with the chorus it’s just as good but i want more, but with that song the chorus is totally the climax of the song while the rest of the song is still amazing and i love it. that’s probably my favorite song this year tbh but overall despite what i said i loved this whole album it’s defiantly amazing
Just getting into them after hearing Eunoia and Ring x Ring. Their layering and harmonization keeps melting my brain. I like their hip-hop, too; it isn’t feeling obligatory.
I was dying to see your reaction to the synths break on various, I wasn't disappointed 😭😭 This is my album of the year for sure, for now, I just love quality music
definitely understand your opn on skipping lionheart + I've a whole playlist with this type of bsides so I know I'll definitely go back to it very often anyway
been listening exclusively to this masterpiece for the past hour and i think my favs are enchanted night and nevertheless.. but literally this whole album is a complete 11/11 (other than lionheart, but i hid it on spotify so i could vibe in peace 🥴 no hard feelings to that song tho)
Album of the year. Easily!!! Just smacked TripleS to the side rudely! The whole album is pure excellence. I can’t. Without Loona and GWSN, we’ve needed this so badly and Billlie don’t get close to the credit they deserve. They don’t have a single mediocre song-everything is excellent. Ring Ma Bell is the only song that I don’t vibe with. True brilliance.
I get that nevertheless doesn't make it cohesive but damn I haven't heard such an experimental song in a while but I ended up loving it. My fav along with extraordinary
