When I lived at Tuscarora we used to get our own Blue Angel's show low over the Res! R.I.P. Mike Gershon lost his life at NF airshow 1985

My mother worked at Bell aircraft during WW2, installed cockpit radios Bell P39 fighters. Also Carborundum retiree so we had special VIP seating in stands between runway and factory. The two Angel's had midair collision right above us. Only one chute. Seemed like forever for the Skyhawks to hit different ends of runway. Big mushroom cloud and explosions. It was eerily silent and terrifying. I've witnessed three jets crashing in my lifetime. The 2 Angel's, and a A7 Air National Guard jet downrange Fort Carson. Pilot also lost his life. Makes you realize just how precious life really is.

I am a person who Loves aviation and the Services I have the most respect for. My gripe is those who are wealthy and fortunate to have connections get to do things like this. Why not let a Young person from the East Side or a radio personality from the community go up so they could inspire young people to become a member of the services. Here again someone privileged get a free pass into the good old boys club. So Sad.

The POINT IS if you WORK HARD __to__ make something of yourself whether it be a player OR a coach or a teacher etc you MAY get lucky enough to get a ride. Coach works his tail off. Probably enough hours for 2 people. PS join the military become a pilot & you can fly yourself.
