Facts. So much cap space, a great pick that can land them a solid CB or a great WR, and another year of Stroud, Ryans, and Slowik working together. It's KC, Baltimore, Cincy, and Houston in my top 4. Buffalo at 5, but we'll see how much more they cut.

@@phillipsouthard8285 it’s way too early to call Stroud top 6 imo. The Texans haven’t proven much other than Stroud is a very promising rookie. I feel people are overrating him and Jordan love just a tad off of too small a sample size. Buffalo only loses to KC or Cincinnati in the playoffs, Josh Allen usually balls out, and the players buffalo is losing are almost all defensive. They nearly beat the chiefs with 3rd stringers on defense this year, so I still think I trust a subtracting buffalo more than Houston

Buffalo had some of the worst injury luck last year. Lost their elite level players. They messed up by overpaying Von. If they were smart you’d trade Diggs for a 2 and draft a younger WR end of 1st

Nick is right about the Bills here. All these players were expected casualties the fans expected. Hopefully the Bills have learned their defense *NEVER* comes through at the end of the year, much of that being due to injuries. Against the Chiefs in the playoffs this year, they went in KNOWING their defense was a mess, so milk the clock as much as possible to limit the damage. Going forward, they just need to accept that their only path to success is to bolster that offense. That's it. Nobody thought the Bills were the best team in NFL all year, they didn't have the MVP, they weren't the #1 seed, yet they did better against KC than anyone else this post season despite the injuries. That's because you have a great QB, so stop dicking around, build up that OL, bolster your weapons, and go from there.

Hindsight is 20-20. He was coming off a great superbowl run with the Rams.....and was off to a great start in Buffalo. Unfortunately for Buffalo, you can't predict injuries.

@@mikep3813 In a way, you can predict injuries. Professional football players get injured. And the older a player is, the more likely he is to get injured. Spending a lot of capital on a defender who's in his mid-30s (as opposed to a top-shelf QB or perhaps a veteran O-lineman) rarely pays off. I also don't know if Miller really had a 'great' run with the Rams. Yes, he played a part in their Super Bowl winning run, but it was a small sample of only half a season. The fact is that all of his most meaningful individual accolades came before 2017. When the Bills signed Miller in 2022, he'd already been past his peak for 5 years. Even at the time, I questioned the wisdom of the move - so no 'hindsight.'

Von had 5 sacks in 8 games in the regular season and 4 sacks in 4 games in the playoffs for the Rams. He had 8 sacks in 11 games in his first season for the Bills. Pretty great numbers. From 2013 to 2020, the average age of an ACL tear was 25.7 years. It is not true that "the older a player is, the more likely he is to get injured." Obviously, the more snaps you play, the more likely you will get injured. And certain positions get injured more than others. The most common positions to tear acls play primarily in "the pile" where there are more players going down to the ground and more of a chance to get "rolled up onto". ACL tears are still most commonly a freak injury, and "wrong place wrong time" plays more of a part in it than anything else.

@@mikep3813 Fair enough. I wasn't claiming to have any special insights that a GM wouldn't have. To the contrary, mine was a kind of 'everyman/common sense' response to the team signing a 33-year-old to a 6-year contract (and yeah, I know it's not all guaranteed). As for the stat about ACL tears that you offer, that may in part be skewed by the fact that NFL players are on average very young. It doesn't necessarily mean older players are less at risk. And of course ACL tears are only one kind of injury, if a particularly serious one. The other thing is that Miller was signed not only to produce on the field but also to provide Super-Bowl-winning 'leadership.' From my (admittedly distant) vantage point, he doesn't seem to have done that. Certainly the domestic violence accusations didn't help but even before that I found some of his statements as reported in the media a bit odd and not really confidence-inspiring.

Von Miller was only a bad signing because he got hurt, he was playing great before that, that's the risk you take. Technically, sure, he played this season but was obviously a waste of space on-field. The Bills defence overall was absolutely obliterated this past season, compared to any other NFL team. Offence on the other hand was very healthy and pretty good despite a lackluster receiving core. Prove me wrong :)

@@donovan4222 I would say for Brady’s first yeah and the second rams one but he was better in the playoffs that year than mahomes was this year. In Brady’s second bowl he threw for more yards than mahomes ever has in a SB and more the same amount of TDs mahomes ever has in a SB. His defence gave up 18 in the 4th which is 1 less than mahomes gave up in an entire 4 quarters of this past suoerbowl. He was carried but was clutch in his first, got carried but was clutch in the second rams game but he played amazing in the 2 playoff games before that

The Bills cut big names but those players were either north of 30 or in Tre’s case, has had major injuries. The Bills will get younger and, at least, still win the division. To win the AFC they need some injury luck which they haven’t had the past 2 years.

Nick...it doesn't matter how badly you want it to happen. It doesn't matter how many times you say it. Mahomes will never be greater than Brady. He has to win 8 superbowls to pass him. Even if he wins 7 Brady will have the head to head win TWICE in the playoffs and of course in the superbowl. Fun fact...Brady's only blowout win in a superbowl was against Mahomes 😂. I know it still stings. Ultimately in the story of NFL history, Mahomes will be a chapter in Brady's story. Plus a late round pick winning the superbowl will always be cooler than a 1st round pick winning it. I think that's the reason you are so against Purdy winning one lol. Tre has done nothing the last 3 playoff runs.... Hyde was injured all season two years ago and the D still was tops.... Poyer last year was half himself.... Denote Harty did nothing.... Naheem Hines didn't play last year.... The only real negative loss is Morse....

This guy has to realize that 31 other teams are after KC and a Super Bowl! There are variables that get in the way and that’s life in the nfl ! Buffalo has been in contention since Josh Allen’s arrival! There’s a long list of QBs that aren’t in that same category, Dolphins/ San Diego/ New Orleans/Bears/ Jacksonville/ Baltimore , this list is long ! I’ll take Josh Allen all day , fact of the matter is that poyer/hyde are way past there prime and it’s the oldest roster in the league last yr , it’s time to get a younger and faster look.

The problem the bills have is that they hired the coach first and then let him hire his general manager, even though he was a first time head coach. The Bills got the better QB in the deal. They are worse at owner, coach, surrounding talent, and playing surface (the only cold weather team without a heated playing field)
