Fun fact about that. He actually tried to sound swedish but sounded like this instead. They loved the outcome and sticked to that Jamaican accent he made
100%‼️ Perfect for the role, this show is legendary, all the characters are memorable, and funny. Not just Grim, but their rival, and Billy, and Mandy, and of course Billy's Spider son 😭😭😭. What a great character arc for Billy, you can't even lie how growth was awesome 🤣😭🤣. They don't make cartoons this good anymore for real‼️💯
The moment where Grim is so taken aback by Mandy wanting to compete in a beauty pageant that they had to use 2 stock cartoon sound effects always kills me 13:50
At 0:46 i died 😂😂 when Grim started chanting, "mama se mama sa mama cu sa". It looks like he's a fan of Michael Jackson since that chant is in his 1983 hit song, "Wanna be starting something" 😂
@@HexManiac-nf1yg it’s a reference to the Owl from Bambi (named: *Friend Owl* ) explaining what happens when you start to feel romantic love for the first time. It’s a brilliant reference, and deserves much praise! The way Grim moves and says things is almost identical to how the owl does it in Bambi.
I swear this show influenced me so much as a kid. I learned to question authority and have faith in my intuition. I also learned how to be a smart a$$. But it also helped me realize my own stupidity and humanity’s stupidity at the same time. It’s a good show.
I think it did that for me too and I just never noticed until you mention it because I was a orphan… never had anybody in my life to give me guidance. I am thankful for having the opportunity to watch this show. As Jamaican this was quality representation! Well the best it’ll ever get.
I like that Grim and Billy do care for each other. Mandy’s relationship is mixed at best, but the bois stick together when reality is coming apart at the seams.
--- Long message, Scroll down for TL;DR! --- i have always wondered why he didn't just get up and leave, I mean he did LOSE the bet but hes the fucking grim reaper, He could just slice those kids or not and move on, Or if not, make the kids life a living hell.. but i mean it was hosted on a kids broadcasting platform so...makes me think if the show was filmed on adult swim or some other platform.. hmm..ya'know i also thought about another issue, Why doesn't he just slice people up who get in his way or will try to stop him?.. then again i guess killing the young and fresh isn't his cup of tea, That or he has to follow some rules or a contract, Also why does his feelings get hurt, Or cry? I mean hes the grim reaper, He can just do whatever in his power to shut said person up, --- TL;DR..Kinda idk: I agree with you, Grim basicly should have the right to not get pushed around, Though i do wonder why grim cant do some things threw out the show, I also wonder why grim gets hurt over someone smack-talking him, HES THE GRIM REAPER, He basicly can do anything in his power to shut them up if he pleases! ---
Yeah I know what I know now about entities of death why doesn’t he just skin kill them I’m pretty sure there’s no rule against that unless of course you’re not allowed to kill people before their time. I don’t know all the dues and don’ts of being an entity of death after all
I was completely shocked and honestly slightly disturbed when Grim was going to have the dolls kiss. I don't know why I have this visceral reaction to it.
@@LeslieFlemons Richard Steven Horvitz as Billy and Grey DeLisle as Goo from Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends are what TV Tropes qualifies as genuine, bonafide Motor Mouths.
Grim is easily the biggest butt of many of the jokes in the show, Billy is in second place and sometimes rivaling Grim. But sometimes even Mandy can get put through the wringer, because as TV Tropes puts it: Slapstick Knows No Gender!
He has gotten pretty soft ever since becoming a slave to children, but it makes sense tbh because he is their best friend too. Even if HE doesn't feel the same way about their BFF status, they are still BFF's and , I'm pretty sure that he is contractually obligated because of a bet or whatever.😅😅😅 And it was for a long time too, I forget how long, but it was a long ass time 😅
"I'm pretty sure the guys in the underworld been laughing behind my back, those guys are turbo nerds!" I've never laughed so hard in my life at a line before. The term "turbo nerd" is hilarious
27:48 Grim telling Billy about people getting twitterpated during spring reminds me of the Bambi cartoon, when the owl told Bambi, Thumper and Flower the same thing.
You forgot the scene where Grim had computer issues. Also, I've just noticed that ever since the Hog Wild episode, Grim's head has gotten a bit sleeker.
0:00 Grim's ranting is just hilarious. 6:01 THAT's his fantasy wife!? 9:42 Grim is so talented, so sweet and a total badass. It's hard to believe that he's still single. 18:38 😄😂🤣 25:55 I like retro cartoons. Their classic. 27:45 Bambi reference!
Lol, his fantasy wife is like a play on a joke…. Because we here consider our spouse after awhile as old dragon…. Because of years of cussing…. Men have tendency to be attracted to aggressive women…
I lost it when I heard Grim saying "This is not me beautiful house. And this is not me beautiful wife!" Followed by Billy saying "Same as it ever was" Had me in stitches
That “total nerd” in the photograph is Jay Bastian, animation program executive from Cartoon Network. And the Count Blackula, it’s that, or an exclusive gift for him like how Greg Eagles got a Grim Reaper clock he photographed and posted on his Twitter, and/or a split second way to Get Crap Past the Censor Radar.
I miss this show SO MUCH‼️💯😭😭😭 And I love Grim's Voice Actor, all the characters are great though. Billy and Mandy, even the side characters. They don't make cartoons like they used to, so many classics. I feel like the ones today just aren't as quality as the old ones. This show is legendary though, funny even in my 20's 🤣😭🤣
26:16-26:34 I LOVE that reference to Ub Iwerks' Skeleton Dance. I watch that short every Halloween. Edit: 27:50 love that Twitterpated reference! Maxwell Atom is a genius!
I remember the good old CN shows especially this one being one of my most favorite ones of all time on the channel. I also miss the old CN logo that would appear on any shows that was airing on CN everyday before 2010. I also missed the OG CN shows that premiered in the early 2010s up to 2019 or so with the last very good show being the We Bare Bears.
