Watched on Thursday, but was extraordinarily blessed. My favorite beans: Peet's, Starbucks, and White Cane Coffee. One of my most sincere dreams is that Alzheimer's and dementia of all varieties will cease. Traveling Mercies! Thanks Billy and Dodee.
Beautiful. Touching. Life giving. Thank you both. You don't remember Billy but my dad was on staff at FBC Arlington and I had the privilege of attending youth camps where you would lead in music. A friend of Milton's. So this takes me back to my youth with good feelings yet gives the bread of life for the future and where we all are today. Older. Wiser. Always searching for what matters ... meaning, community, simplicity and the things of God that matter most in our lives and bring internal joy.
This was a great surprise. I’m up late/early (2am). cuz my middle school son thinks time no longer exists. All the way from Winterville, NC. Been a BC fan for 30 yrs. Heart warming and intimate. I loved it. Thank you and I’m looking forward to more Sunday mornings.
Thanks so much for recording these! I'm enjoying them on delay. I love it that you're revisiting "The wake up song" from *Red bird, blue sky*, and the sessions bring to mind another favorite from that album, "Thankful boys and girls" (maybe for a future brunch episode?). The version of "Simple gifts" in this session is really touching, and deserves a more extended studio treatment (pretty please!). With prayers for healing and peace for your friends and family.... -Tom
The Wake Up Song has been our alarm every day since we got married in the late 90s. First on the computer as a scheduled task and then on the phone. You’d think we’d get tired of it after all this time, but it’s such a happy way to wake up.
