Billy Elliot Mitchell Tobin Final Finale and final show of the tour, Sao Paulo Brazil 

+Joel Wilkins Both Drew and Mitchell fully felt that this was going to be their last show, it was a very emotional afternoon for both of them, and the whole cast. At the time, Mitchell didn't know he was going on to London (but I talked to the Stage manager in Sao Paulo who implied one of the boys was going to London, surprisingly enough - but he hadn't been informed yet). I got to eat dinner at the McDonalds by the Victoria Palace Theater in London with Mitchell and his mom (a meal treat compared to Billy House) during his run there - he is a very smart, talented and sociable young man. As I do theater too, we had common ground to chat. I actually have the full final show for Mitchell (but not Drew, unfortuanately) and stayed in the same hotel as the cast in Sao Paulo. I won't post the entire show, though. I am heading back for my final Billy Elliot weekend marathon in the beginning of March, before the show closes in April.

+Lightman7 it is absolutely emotional, not only for the us/uk cast. We had just the same in Norway in 2014/15 after the last curtain. An emotional finish with all Billys, Michaels and Debbies. Actually are we going to produce BETM again for the saison 2017 (starting audition in April / premiere Januar 2017) And i know this will be emotional again. Ben Cook had tears in his eyes when he said it in Boston to the actor playing Michael for the last time. Great theater and great performance.

+Gioglz camilita2003 independientemente de lo que el libreto dice este show es especial porque fue la ultima vez que estos dos niños interpretarían sus personajes (su ultimo show), por eso las lagrimas reales y el sentimiento a flor de piel de Billy y Michael, al final del performance se despiden diciendo sus nombres reales en lugar del nombre de los personajes.....

He was crying from the moment he walked onstage in The Stars Look Down. The whole cast went to the theater before the matinee (Drew Menard did it), so Mitchell had all afternoon for the finality to sink in. He was mostly cried out by the end of the show, but throughout, even though crying, he acted the role consummately, aside from the crying. He didn't know at that point in time he would be going to London (although the stage manager did as I talked to her in the lobby between shows).

That's not nice. Bearing in mind he's a little boy! And was crying throughout the whole of this! It was his last performance playing Billy EVER, and all you could do was point out his faults. Have a heart.

Everyone has Irish (or Scotish or whatever) accent in the musical...

Michael Vykus actually its Geordie lol

The US tour REALLY toned down the Geordie accent as US patrons complained it was too hard to understand. Mitchels' accent really improved once he hit the London show.
