Three boys, David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik, and Kiril Kulish who play the lead role in "Billy Elliot" on Broadway each won the Tony Award prize for lead actor in a musical. They are the youngest winners of a lead acting prize at the Tony Awards, and they are the first co-nominees in a musical to win.

Jose Camarena-- I knew that David went into the Army right after high school. I was wondering if the other guys in basic knew that he had achieved all this celebrity, starring on Broadway, winning a coveted award, appearing in London, etc. Did he talk about it, or did he just try to blend in?
