If you don't see anything else besides passing, then youbneed to learn more. Positioning, decision making, unpredictability, movement and touch, sharpness, quickness, necessary dribbling, game reading and tactical awareness are all traits of a midfielder. Not all those things are easily visible when you just watch without noticing. Even at his age I wouldn't trade him Jorginho. Gilmour is a rare talent. It's not just another hype.

More than that bro. The perfect weight of the pass which many lack. Passes in front of the players to make them go forward and not on their planted foot for them to go backwards, one touch passing, how he is constantly looking to break the lines which is something so important which most fans don't know. Kovacic and couldn't weigh a pass to save his life. Jorgihno constantly passes behind the player or on their back leg. Kante is the worst he just passes it to the opposition🤣 Not to mention his lack of composure in deep areas. Gilmour has all the traits needed. Drop of shoulder to beat the press, passing and energy he just needs to develop and grow on his abilities with the physical attributes that will come later on. Needs to play but not with any sort of pressure on him too early. He's one I'll be watching for the future whether at Chelsea or elsewhere.

Well just add more style of left foot pass can get to xavi busquet level, or if you decide to go with pure right. Do play outside curler more for the better angle like luka modric

Only inside right foot can limit the pass angle and dont do like jorginho though try to use inside right in every angle . bad for knee and drop speed

@@leogriev mate you said that old ass Jorginho is the same as Gilmour. Jorginho who cant score penalties and who cant run 3 meters without dying. And he always passes to the back, even when players are out in the open without anyone covering them in the front. Aint saying Billy is Iniesta or anything, he isnt. But he is still young, he will play more matches and will prove his credibility.

Let's see man. I haven't seen him play so I can't judge, but I hope he makes it. Very few Asian players make it to the top levels in Europe. Son, Park and Honda seem to be the only ones... there might be more I've missed.

Completely different type of player. But he's very exciting. He's the kind of player to get people interested in football, like Kiatisuk Senamuang did for Thailand. But he's playing at a much lower leve than Gilmourl. Big fish in a small pond. He needs to challenge himself.

@@rohilthomson You maybe missed the best one. Hidetoshi Nakata. If it wasn't for Francesco Totti Nakata would have been the top dog at Roma in the late 90s early 00s. As it was he struggled to get much game time but always shone when he did. Very classy player. Also Ali Daei was the main striker and regular scorer for Hertha Berlin in the 90s. A massively underrated player outside of Iran.

I like his playing and control of ball and passes. One more thing he should do for us, is to think forward often. He gave a lot sideways and backward passes than forward. I hope he gets more playing time to improve more.

@@leogriev All these Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets comments are cringe. Chelsea used to have a player who did what Billy and Jorginho do, but fans used to abuse him. Mikel could also defend well unlike Billy and Jorginho. Billy puts in effort defensively but still isn't good defensively, he's small so I can't blame him much for that. There was a time we lost last season and Billy was just terrible because he was getting pressured into mistakes. Billy is still very young so we'll see. I think he'll be a better/versatile version of Jorginho. I would sell Jorginho immediately.
