I wish that anyone who would put their job before their family, to NOT have children in the first place! You SERIOUSLY DAMAGE your children when you decide to put them last, & do not meet their emotional needs! EVERY child will say that they "love & adore" their parent(s), many times when when they have been emotionally neglected (or even worse).... It's in the psychological make-up of a child to blame themselves before they would ever even put blame on a parent. A child's TOTAL Identity & World revolves around their parent(s), and it is in way too painful for them to put any blame on a parent(s), to the degree that they would rather blame themselves first. Preacher Graham might have been there for other's, but he was a willful & neglectful parent, & probably a horrible Husband as well. I honestly don't have any accolades, nor respect for anyone that is like that, regardless of the mass adoration of many.... It's meaningless & empty to me.... just saying. Lastly, there are accusations of sexual abuse from (now adult) children towards him. I don't know if they are true or not...and everyone is innocent until proven guilty. With that said, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if these accusations were true! NOTHING surprises me any more!.....I often am DISGUSTED....but not surprised!

Glenn, even in times of our poor/bad decisions, we are called of and by God at all times. I was born under the covenant, made bad decisions throughout my life and had to overcome adversoties... It was overcoming adversities that I needed for strength, not as I was born.

Trump supporters do not look to Trump for religious guidance, but because we see what the left is doing to America and the turning away from God, Trump supporters have drawn nearer to God because we recognize we need God's help. Personally, I believe the people are making it clear who is at the right hand of God and who has turned away. Trump is not our religious leader, but he stands between us and those who would take away our right to worship as we see fit.

Bitterness is the one thing I have been fighting against for most of my life, and God willing the day will come when the Lord will help me get past it. Staying in Scripture has helped me, but the devil is crafty and knows exactly which buttons to push. Through my upbringing and my four marriages I have been told I have to value. Since I was already groomed to believe that, marriages to men who were mentally abusive was where I naturally gravitated to. I have been with #4 for 20+ years now and he hasn't changed. However, God changed me and though I am still a work in progress, I know He will get me through the few years I have left on this Earth. Wonderful conversation today. Very close to my heart and my spirit.

Wow - some of this conversation really touches areas of my own life... Being abandoned is no fun... and so many of us are as family events happen. The words here just reinforce how many mistakes we make even when we believe we are being a Christian while we do the wrong. I have questioned myself why did I not make an effort to show caring to those who I felt abandoned me when they were finally in my life. I am speaking of my brothers and dad … they all hurt me as a kid when my mom died by leaving me to fend for myself and they all did their drinking or just their life with no thought of whether I was alive or dead. As I made the wrong choices with men the decisions followed me and my own kids with financial struggles and being emotionally hurt by lies of what they did in their own lives. I have wondered why did I continue to make the same mistakes with my relationships, put myself in a financial bind, made my kids wonder what and why did I do that last relationship. So, I guess I didn't take the time to open the doors I closed over the years. This has made me realize we are always a work in progress with our belief in Jesus and His Grace given to us through our Heavenly Father... Such a gift is the Word of God to all of us.

Once again, another great interview by Glenn. I honestly really do like Ruth Graham, however I have been in recovery for too long, lived in too many different cultures, gone to far too many mosques, temples, and churches to subscribe that there is only one pathway to God. I know Ruth is a true believer in her faith and I do not criticize but I do empathize. The philosophies in the Big Book of AA are similar to the Christian Theology because they came via the Oxford Group. It was Bill Wilson who was given the idea by Ebby Thatcher of the Oxford Group that one need not adopt the Christian idea of God but in fact choose ones own concept of God that helped millions of suffering addicts and alcoholics recover from alcoholism through the 12 steps which Bill Wilson wrote down in about 20 minutes after a "spiritual experience". I really do not believe God is concerned with what we call "him" Jesus, Vishnu, Buddah, Shiva. It's not about what we call him, but that we let go of our "self" and we accept our life on lifes terms. We forgive, we grow, and learn from our experience here. We let go of the illusion of earthly riches and find true peace through love of each other and transcend to another higher deeper and richer level of consciousness. We grow in and through God. But to say this way is the only way or we burn in hell is not love. That is fear. Read the historical account of Jesus Christ to understand who he truely was. He was a Jew who taught Judiasm to Jews. He was a political dissident against Rome. He spoke up for the Jewish people and gave his life for his truth. I respectfully disagree with Ruth Grham, but I respect her Journey and her truth and the courage she had to go through pain and hardship with faith. Because no one, Christian, Jew, Black, Orange, or White can live long without faith in something other than our selves. Thank you Ruth and thank you Glenn. P.S. If God is using Donald Trump to make the world a better place then I am deeply concerned about his ability to be in charge of the universe.

Unfortunately we all know the struggle of not being able to forgive ourselves. I can look at any other person and say - come on! You can’t be this hard on yourself. You can’t beat yourself up like this and then look in the mirror and judge myself very harshly because “I expect more from myself. I know I can be and should be better than that”. The hardest person to forgive is YOU.

What a wonderful interview and so much to learn from. People who disclose their lives for the benefit of helping others are so brave. We look to Jesus for truths, our answers come from God, but it doesn't always come in our timing. However, answers come nevertheless. BTW Glenn, that dead like, eye to eye stare you have is somewhat disconcerting. It reveals a side of you that is insecure. Ruth did not let it unsettle her, she handled it well, she has seen enough in her life of men that are not revealing who they are behind the mask, that it no longer ruffles her feathers, that's why you are attracted to her. She knows the truth and she still forgives, just like God forgives. The key here is to repent and learn from our mistakes. Under the mask we are all just children trying to figure out what happened to us as a child, why do we behave this way? In all likelihood, Sin is to blame and forgiveness is always the answer...

There is no Hell. That was a Roman construct - a control system. Those who don’t rise to life are no more. How anyone can believe a loving eternal Father, who is the creator of LIFE, can send any of his creation to an eternal inferno is mind boggling. The New Testament teaches that Hell is a real place - it is not a Hebrew scripture theme. After 40 years in the church I am liberated from that thinking.

Biblical hell was the first century garbage dump in Jerusalem called gehenna...All things written in the law and prophets were fulfilled in 1st century or Jesus was a false prophet and the Mosaic law is still valid???? Don't think in the flesh like Nicodemus and blindly follow futurists. If we are living stones of the new Jerusalem, it's spiritual! Good journey.
