The inaugural Billy Hamill Hagon Shock-Joker Machine Speedway School kicked-off at Inland Motorcycle Speedway in San Bernardino, California on July 3, 2010. The school roster was filled to capacity, kids that had never ridden speedway bikes before, had the opportunity to ride the first-rate bikes generously provided by Martin Hagon.
The kids got four and a half hours of tracktime, all of it under the close-eye of Billy Hamill, Geoff Arnold and their staff. Billy is quite the teacher, he basically starts with, "This is a motorcycle." And he ends-up giving the basic keys to going sideways. New speedway riders will pick-up a few tips, watching Billy train youngsters on this video. The same physics apply to all of us.
My favorite Billyism, "That wall is made of wood, It does hurt if you hit it, but you know, you can play with it a little bit." LOL! My man!
The second class will be held in Northern California at Auburn's Fast Fridays, on Saturday July 17, 2010.
Are you a kid? Do you race motorcycles? Wanna ride a speedway bike?
