I have a suggestion... please add to your reaction list, Tommy Johansson's cover of Steelheart's She's Gone. Tommy is co-lead guitarist in Swedish metal band Sabaton, has his own band, Majestica, and a YT channel full of incredible power metal covers...song upgrades, actually! Not only does Tommy play all the instruments/music for his covers, he also records layers of vocals for harmonies. And his voice will blow you away!

Spot on the analysis of the cover by COB! Doesn't bring much to the Billy Idol original.And it doesn't have B.Idol singing😅 so.... Yes the pinch harmonics are constant on this,Zakk Wylde style. For COB next song i recomend : " Towards the dead end" from the album Hatebreeder, 😮😮

For Children of Bodom, you might want to get several songs from different albums. First albums were more classical melodic inspired and latest Hexed album is one of the best in composition wise. Not just guitar riffs, but everything from keyboards to bass lines, everything improved a lot during all the years band was active.

Another Finnish metal band HIM also does cover of this. Would had been nice trifecta. But I take CoB anyday. CoB guitarist Alexi also had side project named Local Band which did nice covers of 80’s songs. There could be nice reaction options as well. And are you dead yet and everytime I die would of course be nice options to react from CoB.

You should take a look at Agalloch, Great Black/doom/folk metal band from the states. Really any song on The Mantle album is a good choice! But if you want to really get the feel for them, you should go straight through the whole album in one go. Thats how it's meant to be :)

The Tokyo Warhearts live album was always my favorite from CoB. Silent Night Bodom Night, Warheart, or Bed of Razors from that album would be amazing to listen to with y'all... probably especially SNBN because of what Laiho says in the last five seconds

Bro, CoB is a bloody great band. Their lead singer, who is also their genius guitarist, unfortunately died not too long ago. (R.I.P Alexi Laiho). I'd suggest you listen to "follow the reaper" and "sixpounder". The solos in those two songs are majestic; just like their other songs of course.

@@Greatmeasures I recommend not listening to "The Violation" though...coming from a die-hard Fleshgod fan, it may be their most popular song but by far not one of their best. I would recommend "Minotaur (The Wrath Of Poseidon)" or "Pathfinder". Two of the most epic songs of the entire decade (2010s) imo

@@AgeofJP I wasn’t planning to do “The Violation” but I was planning to do something from Agony. Let me explain and please give me some feedback. I want to show him “The Betrayal” and “The Forsaking” as one piece. The way those two songs flow into each other is awesome to me. And I’m hoping he’ll appreciate and play the piano part of “The Forsaking”. Thoughts?

@@Greatmeasures From Agony a very good choice, love the transition as you said...The Egoism would be my favorite from that album, but that's more by preference (and for that sick sound explosion at the start and after the first chorus). I just dig their Labyrinth writing style more than the others because they wrote the guitars in the style of classical violins which is something I never heard done any other band. And as a guitarist I'm especially infatuated with these songs because they're so extremely difficult but not for the sake of being difficult. Two songs (actually Elegy aswell) where the solo's are the easiest and slowest parts of the song. I'm actually happy to see any reaction that isn't on Violation or their newest song...same with CoB, hope you'll show him a gem (as there are so many) that not everyone and their mothers have reacted to already
