I remember being nine when this premiered and thinking, "Wow, there will never be a video that'll top this." And 30+ years later, my opinion has not changed.

This is hands down one of the best music videos ever produced. Its perfect.

The older I get, the more I appreciate Billy Idol. When I was younger and didn't know sh*t, I kinda thought he was kind of a Poser/Fake Punk Rocker ....but now that I'm a little wiser, I can see that he was just a Cool Rock 'n Roller Dude... and they paid him for being Himself. His music isn't anything that you would consider "deep," BUT SOMETIMES you just want to hear Rock that you don't have to think about. Idol is a Living Legend, and I "get it" now.

God he has a legacy. From the 80s to the 90s to today. He is still out on the road and rocking. He deserves to be in the Rock Hall of Fame.

Hats off to the director David Fincher for coming up with this concept for the video & working around Billy Idol's lack of mobility when the video was filmed this was after Idol's motorcycle accident & he couldn't move around without crutches

This video was made in 1990 when Idol was in a very bad motorcycle accident. He went into ICU and had surgery on his legs. This is why you only see him from the waist up in the virtual picture frame. I remember this video because I had just moved to the US from England about three months before it was filmed. I had just started a job as a picture framer in West Hollywood. I heard Billy Idol was in a motorbike accident in LA, and that week, Billy Idol hired us to frame some pictures for his hospital room. So I ended up framing some of Billy Idol's pictures, which I thought was kinda cool.

When this came out, Devon was every straight middle school boys crush.

Awesome!! ....and if you recall Billy just had a bad accident at this time and couldn't walk. The shots you see here he was just sitting on stool the entire time...and he STILL kills it!!! \m/ Notice how you never seem him below his chest.

I cranked up the volume whenever this song came on MTV or the radio. The ending is hilarious when the muscle-bound guy asks if Devin's there. I had forgotten how gorgeous "Devin" was in this video. Billy Idol had suffered a horrific motorcycle accident shortly before this video was shot and was badly injured from the waist down, which is why he never actually appears "live" in this video and is only seen from the waist up.
