Hold up, lemme just go ‘head and put this one on repeat for the next 45 minutes. Remixaholics rejoice … more, more, more Idol and GF. Take me back to my brown cable tv box with the gray number dial clicked over to channel 14 MTV with JJ, Mark, Alan, Nina, and Martha premiering this one. Maybe if Groovefunkel had been in the studio producing and mixing this back in ‘83, it woulda cracked the Billboard Top 40. Simply stunning work as always! Thank you, Groovefunkel. ✌🏻

This one is so good, I had to come back for several more playbacks. This one may be the best one yet. Forgot to mention before that the “false fade” at 3:01 is brilliant, sort of like the King’s “Suspicious Minds”. Just when you think it may be over, the full fury of Stevens and Idol are right back in your face. Has anyone ever even come close to the perfect “growl” like Idol (4:25)? Maybe Joan Jett ? 😀
