Various artists has chatted on diss riddim Until Shine head came out in 1984 on the African Love label this is the original riddim Mama use to say on the backside of the dub plate and version on each tune. +Anthony Jackson Er... this is the Get A Lick riddim, which was originally done at Studio 1 by Bumps Oakley. The riddim that Shinehead used originally came out around 1979, 5 years before he went on it for "Billie Jean" in 1984. And it's the 1st reggae riddim to use drum machine.
@@stundorn5511 It's loosely based on Bumps Oakley's *"Get A Lick"* done for Studio One. Stereophonic and other sounds were dropping the riddim on their sets in the late 70s. But it was really Shinehead who gave life to the riddim in 1984 with the massive *"Billie Jean."* *"Chim Cheri"* is Lee Perry's name for it and it has been credited to be the first reggae riddim to use drum machine.
