Having just lost our Billy Joe it does me good to know where he is. His public confession took a lot of courage and Jesus has to be proud of ‘im! I certainly am, though I miss him so far. 💪

I saw Billy Joe shaver in Chattanooga Tennessee at nightfall. I was a hopeless alcoholic. They're playing bottles of liquor in my pocket drinking a 20 oz drive beer. Billy Joe held up a bottle of water and said (right here is the best drink in the world). At the time I thought he was crazy. May 20th 2003 Lord took the taste of liquor away. I'm now understand what Billy Joe was saying & fully agree! Billy Joe Shaver and myself both raised a lot of hell, & took the looong way to the path of the good Lord Jesus. But I do look forward to listening him pic when I get upstairs!!! R.IP. Billy!!!
I drink and I’ve snorted. Just like Billy Joe says, Jesus is not bound by these standards humans put on you, whatever their title may be. Jesus is King, he gets us, F those who tell you otherwise. Salvation is not bound by the restrictions of political preachers or going to church on Sunday morning. It’s what’s in your heart and that’s all Jesus sees.
Comedian Norm Macdonald made me aware of Billy Joe Shaver. I love them both. Both Billy and Norm speak publicly about God and Jesus and we need more of it. Amen

I love Billy Joe's witness to Waylon and Willie. I hope Waylon found the Lord before he died. Willie needs Jesus , He has allowed him to live all this time giving him many chances.
@@shaunclifton5281 I know Waylon was a tough nut to crack. But illness humbles people most of the time because of the fear of death. Willie is a pothead it will take a tragedy to get his attention. His bass player Bee Spears was a friend of mine and he was a Christian. Im sure Bee had the talk with Willie many times..

genius mchaggis ~ Billly Joe Shaver wrote a number of Waylon's top songs. They go back a long ways. Billy Joe's son, Eddy (who is in this video), died New Years Eve, 1999 of a heroin overdose. Billy has not gotten over it yet. It was very sad.

John Prewett I also saw Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard there too. I couldn't tell who else was there but it was star studded. Waylon was the one who made the comment about Billy Joe Shaver giving them all #2 hits on the Radio. Wish I knew what show this was from.
