I saw this boat years ago in Costa Rica. I was picking my boat up in Golfito where I had it shipped. Billys' boat was dropped in the water right before mine. Beautiful vessel.
Vendetta has surface piercing props. Unlike many boats with them, these are tucked into a cavity under the stern. (Surface piecing props usually hang out the back of the boat.) The boxes in the lazerette that you referred to as second mufflers actually redirect exhaust pressure into the prop cavity to keep the water level correct for the props. The vent that you referred to as the exhaust is actually sized to relieve that pressure to keep it at a determined amount.

Sorry if I'm going off topic but I used to hang out in Newport a lot from when I was a kid in the '60s up until 2015 when I retired to Utah. The camera store I used to manage back in the '80s and '90s, Olympic Camera, was just up the road at Harbor and 19th St. and I loved to go down Newport after work to some of the really great restaurants they have there. My dad and I used to go fishing in Newport in a little rental. One time we had a seal jump into the boat after fish we'd caught but we managed to force it back into the water. I even caught a beer can once. I set it down on the dock next to me and the next thing I know someone next to me says to look down, and there was a baby octopus climbing out of the can. As you can tell, I really loved Newport. I even used to climb the cliffs of the Back Bay. Now I can barely walk from one end of the house to the other but at least I have great memories of Newport Bay. I used to participate in fleet races there. Made some surprising maneuvers on occasion that my sailing coach thought were really good. Which made my day. She said I was pretty good at reading the wind effects on the water. I wish I were in good enough health to go back there one last time. I can't drive more than a few miles nowadays.
It is always interesting to view a boat that has no really applicable adjectives. This represents decadence at the highest level. Perhaps like the Patek Philippe "Aquanaut Rose Gold" model ... yummers! You have made my day.
Looks very much like a Hinckley except for the stern. Gotta say that round bulbous "transom" is gorgeous +++++. Tastefully done! BIlly Joel has always had a thing for vintage yacht styles. He owned a beautiful vintage lobster style fishing boat back in the 20th century that I believe he named the Downeaster Alexa.
Another wonderful and beautiful example of great craftmanship. Can't believe you were able to get Michael onboard. Something i though I would never see,
INCREDIBLE AFT -- just like an old scholl Garwood or hacker torpedo boat racer, or even a very few of those Adirondack " gentlemen's race boats. I know, Ive seen on thd St Lawrence River growing up in the 70's and 80's way up in Northern NY during the French festival and great boat shows. Thank you
I love the shape and details... The only differences I'd go for is twice the size, an enclosed back end, the rails going front to back, and exchange speed for distance!
We had our live a board Hatteras docked across from his home in Oyster Bay on Long Island. We use to see him on his boats all the time. He used this boat to commute from his home to Madison Square Garden for his concerts. He also has a huge motorcycle collection on display in downtown Oyster Bay. Sometimes he is there and asks you to come in, super nice guy. it isn't open to the public.
Stunning boat!!!... Not for my “application “ but a work of art nonetheless. Great job guys... haven’t seen something like this for awhile. Well done and congrats Rico on the engine tour!!! Cheers, 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
all of the woorwork on this boat is the same quality as the stocks on my granfather's custom rifles & shotguns. Talking about $300,000 shotguns & such, very impressive!
The MAN engines are so balanced and mounted so well along with that amazing exhaust system, it was so easy to hear you talk and that’s rare with Diesel engines that big. O and if you don’t have plates to eat you can dump your food on the engine room floor and have a spot for 2 lol
I Love ITTTT ❤ The Only thing i will change?13:15? A Double stainless chrome sink so it can be center with the bottom underneath cabin Doors!!! That's a DREAM COME TRUE💰💵😴
@@NautiStyles LOL.LOL.LOL THAT'S MY OCD KICKING IN.🤖🤯 That will DRIVE ME CRAZY looking at that uneven Sink..I LOVE THE TEAM WORK with You and your Co Star🎬.. VIDEOS are Great🤩
As a fan of your work I say, where else I could see this unique boat? "No where" 44knots cruising speed, insane. Rico piloting and Victoria wake boarding, that's it. Cheers from Sao Paulo. Thanks
At $8/gal for diesel you are talking $784 to go 57.5 miles. Worth it when it means you bypass the LI expressway! The woodwork is beautiful. I did some work on a tiny cottage on Nantucket Harbor that was entirely varnished mahogany. It was maybe about 500 sq ft and later sold for $3.8 million. Its amazing the craftsmanship that is out there.
Beautiful boat, in a glimpse to the past with a touch of modern style! That woodwork was stunning indeed! Captain V killing the Nauti Style game as usual...DAMN!#SexyAft 👀💖👣👀💖 And Rico totally fan boy'd that engine room!😂 Love how excited you two get in these videos!! Great job!! 👍
Love your channel. I’m watching all the way from the Northwest territories Canada in the Arctic. Keep up the great content I love the variety of yachts you guys tour. Btw I would love to see a Viking convertible on the channel. Stay safe!
@@NautiStylesIt is currently almost 30 below zero. Guess I will just have to sit back and watch some more videos of you and Rico enjoying the sunshine and doing some amazing yacht reviews 😛 Thanks for the reply!
Considering the purpose for which the boat was built and its speed, I would think passengers are not meant to be on the foredeck at any time (hence the lack of railing and other amenities). Passengers are probably supposed to either stay below, or enjoy themselves on the (very safe and secure) afterdeck. I imagine just trying on hang on while on the foredeck at speed wouldn't permit anyone to actually relax there. This vessel is the marine analog of a private aircraft.
@@NautiStyles East coast guy, who grew up when Billy was always on the radio. Down Easter Alexa was one of his great songs, and the boat in the song is named after his daughter.
I was just thinking of the old interview 60 minutes did with Billy Joel a couple days ago (while on his yacht many years ago) Great minds think alike. To bad you couldn't use some footage of that interview also. Question how does the wave rider get on and off the stern of this awesome rear end (of the yacht)?
Billy Joel had two boats built across from my ex friends house ,in south west harbor Maine ,actually Bernard Maine ,they were jet propulsion. MDI boats

Beautiful yacht, I do have a question about the galley. Noticed there is a sink and fridge but noticed there is no cooktop or microwave to heat up food, was it hidden somewhere?
Do you guys experience any theft of boat hardware when you're docked? Every time I wanted to take my boat out of the waterside storage yard in Dana Point I had to go the the nearly store to buy replacement shackles and lines because someone took off with mine.
18:02-the second “muffler” in that system put most of the exhaust gases under water/hull when not up on plane so the exhaust smell and noise aren’t as bad.
Hy Victoria and Rico, I follow you from Genoa (Italy) and your video are very interesting! I am curious to see a video abour a big Hatteras, because I am an enthusiast of Hatteras and Viking! Have you ever take in to consideration to come in Genoa to visit the International Boat Show end of September, beginning of October. The next exibition will be the 61th edition and you can see more than 1500 boat on the water: is the biggest exibition in Europe. Ciaoo !!!
Awesome video...UP Town Girl Guy owned it...WOW there are like 10 of us who keep up on all your Videos. It's usually the topic of the day. Please don't ever wear those blacks slacks again on a shoot. With all due respect, you look amazing! You should be in movies.... God bless you both.
''Living well is the best revenge'' B. Joe. Woaoh....how right and correct this line is about this.... But hey! Since when do you do your ''Vendetta'' going that fast? It makes not sense! I mean, NautiStyle, you explained to us in your video this yard could go fast, and when we want ''vendetta'' it takes time to make, it's a ''plate you always serve cold''! XD By the way, your dances and songs are awesome and precious, but not as good as seals....I'm sorry, I had to say it, XD

Beautiful looking, retro style yacht! Love ❤️ the color scheme they choose, really accents all the different lines, and more importantly, the curves. She is shapely and highlighted 👊🏼👊🏼
