Woahhh…yep that pretty much sums up this spectacular performance of both of these songs by true legends Brother Bill Monroe and Pink Floyd, but the Brain Damage was a tremendous cherry on top of a tremendous treat!!
I think Billy Strings is the hottest player around this decade! I hope to see him someday, but he doesn’t come to the left coast often. I hope he comes to the Gorge, his band are all amazing musicians too!!!! I love Dark Side Of The Moon, Billy and band do a fantastic bluegrass version ❣️❣️
Man, I don't even know where to start describing what a genius compilation this is!!😮😵💫 A rollup of 3 or 4 genre's of classic rock, jazz, and bluegrass, seamlessly executed in one performance. Wow, just wow!!🤯😎😎
@drfell9105 Overall, you're correct. However, your comment is very bad (when many other comments are truly terrible). This is not an attack on you. (Are you familiar with comments regarding RU-vid videos in both short and long durations? To answer the question you may have with me, "Welcome to RU-vid, sir."
Sir, I've wanted to hear, experience and be IN the audience in which he attracts. I'm jealous of your live music history. I'm striving to live the life you've chosen to live.
Whoa!!!! I don't know how this popped onto my recommended videos but I'm so glad it did!!! Amazing!!!! I'd have to say that Crown of Thorns was as good as the original. I'm definitely going to be looking more into this band!
Billy has a talent picking guitar & talent picking the right songs to play to connect with us all ! This is talent ✌️😎🤘🏻must be in that good weed he puffs on!! 😅
Wow! I’ve not seen anything like that. Ty for posting this. Andrew J Brady is an incredible venue. So cool to be able to see that part of the show, since I did not attend. ✌🏼
Still in awe of his blow down in Norfolk recently. Need to know that he is surrounded by well meaning people who will protect him and his superior band from excess.
you do understand, pj came after the late great Andrew, and mother love bone, which later formed green river and then became the band they are currently?
I do understand. Been listening since the beginning, have close to 40 shows under my belt.... Best band community out there, great folks. Last saw them at MSG 9-11-22 wishing I was making this tour.. @@davidvader8723
We were there too. Amazing show, those lights were trippy! I thought it was great that my wife and I...and the chili peppers...were about the only old folks there! It's great to see you youngsters rocking! Lol! If you aren't familiar, Danny's Song is a tune off of a Loggins and Messina album of way, way long ago. Be sure to hear Kenny loggins do it, live. It's been done by a lot of folks, but it's hard to beat the original. And ya, the laugh was awesome. It looks like it is good to be Fruscianti.
(I know that this review is quite long) Hello all, Billy Strings and his band are amazing. I've enjoyed him (and the band) when Billy had short hair. First, he's attempting to "introduce" bluegrass to a larger audience. Secondly, aside from showing everyone that he's an exceptional guitar player, the banjo player performs the solo of "Crown of Thorns" The violin/fiddle also perfoms a solo. The mandolin player is quite amazing. I believe that the stand-up bass is very talented. How about the Billy Strings Group?!?! Yeah!!!
I guess, according to the most replayed section of the video, people like when billy does the guitar dance more than even the killer licks he' and the band are playing....fascinating
some one please get Billy together with Molly Skaggs for a jam session i cant help but think those two could make some thing really epic if they get along well
Not Eddie Vedder, Crown of Thorns is Mother Love Bone and the singer is Andrew Wood. Amazingly talented and his life was cut short from OD. He would have been as famous as Vedder had he lived longer. Check them out sometime. I love how Billy covers so much music all over the map.
Is good to see the turn out for a roots bluegrass group of pickers these days.. seems all the godfathers of the genre have died out and left their legacy that fortunately was continued.. billy is a hell of a flatpicker and with his roots in death metal its burnished his style and that voice is just a gift.. hes like the kurt cobain of bluegrass.. just hope he doesn’t get strung out on that shit and overdose like all the good ones do.. or get on the shit then take their own lives..
Tuberville commercial breaks give me constipation! Just for once can we make it thru the long version w/o stupid interruptions? Can't even enjoy healthy flatulence!! RPG.💬
@@rpgthunderthudd2827. A fart? You should have to pay for a fart because nobody would. Only thing in life that’s really free Is a smile. 😊. Smile smile smile ✌️
@@chrislink4703 here's a new acronym fer ya'... "MTFP"! the "Point" more music, less noise! Stop interrupting good music with mindless crap! I don't want any of yer mindless crap! at least a fart serves a purpose. While making "The Last Waltz" the film crew were trying to follow strict time demands and decided the concert footage was too long and they were going to cut the recording short, Bill Graham (google him, if you must) blew up and demanded that they continue filming. It was about trusting music to the artists.... create something that respects artistic integrity, or make stupid commercials. RPG.🚯☢
