Billy Strings dedicates "White Dove" to Jerry Garcia during Jerry Week at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, CT on 8/7/2021. Brought to you by Less Than Face Productions. Audio by Bill K.
Billy Strings is appealing to all ages and bringing bluegrass to the front again. His delivery of Carter Stanley's great song only second to the Stanley Brothers.
Break my heart this song make think of mama and Daddy in the hills of Tennessee back in Sweetwater 😣I've been recovering from a injury, I have severe neuropathy I have no feeling in feet but still painful and l love listening to Billy strings is the only thing that really helps
Excellent job kid! The harmony on the second and third chorus was spot-on. The mandolin break "smoked-it". If these guys stay together they will define bluegrass and who knows what other genre.
If they can stay together long enough, I do really believe these guys will be legendary in bluegrass circles. If they could get Molly Tuttle onboard full time as well...
@@alan4sure I never suggested Molly 'needed' anybody else. Just saying that when she and Billy play together it's one of the best things in bluegrass history. "Lol" 🙄
oh hell yea. got the chance to catch this group for the first time last week here in WA- mind blown, won't ever miss a chance to see them when they pass through town again. BTW- they absolutely NAIL the Peter Rowan high harmonies on this :)
Great stuff! Saw “old and in the way” in the early 1970’s at the Capital Theater in Passaic, NJ. Vasser Clements was just fabulous as was the entire band. David Grisman practically swallowed that mandolin.
I made a comment on another video that I'd love to see/hear Billy and David Grisman play together. To hear today's intro knocked me back. Thank you, for adding your talents to bluegrass, The Dead, rock (and every other genre you enjoy).
hearing this album back when it eas released was a stunner, jerry went old-soul on us and it was beautiful. great job here, but hey, what would you expect ? lol
I'm proud for this kid but I'm sick of hearing about all the others. The mandolin player is the best. The singer is great. Billy needs to be very proud of them .
