You're missing my favourite one - Cook wants to bring his ship into the harbour, but Chief Billy says no. When Cook asks why, Billy gets his man to flip over his mere and shows a Nuclear Free Zone sign.
Best comedian of the times!!! those were the days when people could laugh at cultural stereotypes and themselves without being deemed racist or discriminating!!!! The world needs a Billy T!!!
This show would stop the nation every Sat night (only rugby tests could do that). If you were in a pub, the TV got turned up and everyone went quiet to listen until laughter at the punch lines.
@Manurewa.685 get your head out of your ass. As the grandson of one of the Ngāti Awa elder leaders, you can F%#k right off with your segregationist, racist pontificating bullshit.
@Manurewa.685 you confuse “delete”, with “edit”. Don’t give credence to the phrase “dumb Maori” when you can literally see (edited) next to the time stamp.
I'm an Australian and learnt about this billy t James fella about ten years ago came across him on RU-vid bit before my time but I love him he was a funny guy!
I loved watching Billy when I was younger an it's still as funny today. U have 2 be pretty awesome 2 achieve that. Bean is the only other I can think of
The days were we could all joke and laugh together about our past and enjoy eachother compuny in the present moment. Those days are over with everyone getting fired up over our history even tho that wont change a thing apart from divide us
@@barbaramckenzie7157 what are you on about. The Billy I knew would have hated you talking about him & the "woke generation". He would be taking the piss out of people who talk about it & seem to think there is only pre & post woke. I wish he was alive to do so.
Back when this was made Fosters, while not the biggest seller in Australia, was doing OK. I don't find any of the CuB beers that interesting, but I might try the new stronger VB? Recipies change & several years back Fosters (well, in Australia) became a easy to drink. i.e. bland mid strengh beer. For decades now, if you want it, you'll have to go looking (sounds like a wasted day???)
Glue for your children” was a piss take slight , towards the urban Maori street kids in the early 80s , the solvent abuse that plague disenfranchise Maori families of that time , I remember that time ,it was my generation , now it’s meth 😢
