Honestly I’m just curious on your setup in general, do you just play along to the track out loud as one recording, then layer the original song over the audio of what you recorded as an overdub? I like the total presentation because it feels more organic than just blending them together where you can’t hear the guitar isolated well enough.

Thanks!!! 😊😊 I used my Telecaster Deluxe, a keeley compressor mini and a xotic rc booster. For more Drive I added a fulltone ocd on top 🤘🏻 Then a vox mv 50 clean amplifier into a ssl2 interface into ableton 😁

@@sacredxgeometry I just put the song into ableton (red track) and record my guitar (yellow track) to it 🤘🏻 so what I’m playing in the video is what you hear 😁 I don’t use the camera audio and there are no overdubs. I try to record my covers in one take 🙌🏻 Afterwards I adjust the volume of the song and my guitar track and that’s it 😊

I use a Xotic RC Booster for the crunchy tones and stack it with a Fulltone OCD for more gain 🤘🏻
