Thank you so much for the information. I'm an architect from Chile currently living in Vancouver, and unfortunately, I can't find a part-time BIM program here. After watching your useful video, I discovered the BIM program at George Brown College in Ontario. I would like to know if it's possible to do the program while living in another province. My main concern is the 450 hours of Field Experience, which I might have to complete in Ontario rather than in Vancouver. Do you think it's recommended to enroll in the program despite living out of province? How might this affect the logistics?

Nice .. I liked the comparison. I actually wanted to know about the 1 year M.Arch course of advanced design (PLAIN M.Arch ! , no project management or BIM or sustainable practices or other.) in UK and does this course have scope for job .. also how does it compare to the two year M.Arch course of RIBA 2
@ArchiVlogs.
@ArchiVlogs. 9 месяцев назад
See 1 year course is good you can get a job by that but 2 years course has an upper edge as it makes you eligible by riba 2. So take your decision wisely. If you dont have a budget then go for 1 years course!

Its a good college, but not sure about the courses there. I did go over reviews, and they were descent. I would suggest connecting to alumni of the college on LinkedIn to get true reviews.

Thanks for the videos that you make. This helps me alot to analyse the courses that i am interested in. I am confused between taking up Building construction management and building information modeling. What do you suggest keeping in mind about the co-op? What is the scope if we compare these courses in the future?
@ArchiVlogs.
@ArchiVlogs. 10 месяцев назад
It's on you both are good, career wise, but one is purely software based on the site and management based. You have to decide what you like and which direction you should go... I can try giving a comparative analysis on this in the coming few weeks.

hii there! I've seen your videos, and they're super informative.I recently graduate b.arch and planning for further studies in canada. I’ve came across this course, "Artificial Intelligence - Architecture Design and Implementation" at Georgian College in Canada, and I'd love to see a video on it. I'm quite interested in software, 3D visualization, and some design, so I'm a bit unsure what to do next. Also, what's your take on the Urban Design and Project Management program at Sheridan College?
@ArchiVlogs.
@ArchiVlogs. 8 месяцев назад
Hi! Thank you for bringing this up, I will have to go through the course details as I am not aware about this course, But URBAN DESIGN and Project management is a good course to go for, I did consider that when I was planning for canada.

I'm eagerly waiting for the video. I'm planning for September intake, and I'm considering pursuing BIM. Could you kindly recommend other one-year courses that I can combine with BIM?"

Hello Saransh, first of all, thank you for the video!! I am a bit confused about your explanation in the video about the BIM program. Actually, I have worked as a rebar detailer and precast detailer in India for more than 2 years, But I have worked only on AutoCAD-2D. However, I got admission to the BIM program, so will it bother me as I only have knowledge of AutoCAD?
@ArchiVlogs.
@ArchiVlogs. 9 месяцев назад
Yes.. it will be a big switch.. I would suggest starting to practice on revit and other 3d software as you will get used to the 3d environment and details.

Thanks for explaining courses briefly. As you mentioned im expecting to learn civil 3D,structure, MEP as in-depth. Is there any more possibly to learn those also. I had experience in BIM, which is worked for US projects in India. How to showcase myself to get better job after graduation from Algonquin ? Guide me how to make it..
@ArchiVlogs.
@ArchiVlogs. 10 месяцев назад
You need to prepare a portfolio that highlights the projects from the us based companies, show working drawings, and describe the job on your resume with details of what you did.

Bro they have the life cycle management 1 year course now, I’m confused between Fanshawe Bim and Algonquin Bim!

At Algonquin, they have stopped 1 year course, and now it 2 years, so Fanshawe or Gorge Brown is a better option, or Algonquin if you just wanna do 1 course

Hi Ar. Singh, thank you for this vlog. Im from the Philippines and I would like to ask for your insights on the following: 1. If you are an international student with a 5-year Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from your home country (licensed Architect without post-license experience), is your level of education acceptable for a Master’s degree in Architecture in Canada (or any other country like Australia, UK etc)? Is acceptance rate high for an international student for Master’s? Or is it more practical to take a diploma or certificate course first? 2. Is asking assistance to an agency in the processing of student visa a practical move ? Or do-it-yourself is better? Your insights will be a great help. Thank you so much. 🙏
@ArchiVlogs.
@ArchiVlogs. 8 месяцев назад
Hii! Any 4 or 5 year BArch degree is eligible, every university will have there standards for accepting a student, most of then need cgpa of 6.5 or above, plus portfolio requirements. US , Australia and UK have higher rate of acceptance. Canada is lower because of less universities. Its ok to have consultant for VISA.

If you like software and dont mind getting deep in to revit and bim interphase then bim is for you or else project management. You will get job in both but also think about what you like if you are not into software then believe me bim as a career will frustrat you and same goes for project management.. but i believe its much simpler then bim industry.

Hi Saransh bro, I am from Tamil nadu and a FRESH GRADUATE this year. I have gained more insights from your videos, 1. thing is I want to do PgDip in BIM from Canada, i have no prior experience but would like to get into AEC industry for granted. 2. Also i chose to do PgDip because It doesn't require dominantly to do thesis/dissertation research. 3. so do i get opportunity to work as BIM coordinator after this course? 4. And do i require a portfolio necessarily for application. thank you again for your time and efforts in explaining minute details, you must be rewarded a million subs to diversify the idea of Graduation in Canada in all over the world.

Hi! its ok to not have prior experience in industry, It would be a bit difficult to get a job but not impossible. Portfolio is always good to have and acts like an asset while applying as you will have high competition here and thank you so much I wish I could reach that level someday, keep supporting 🙏

I m already learning Revit here in Chandigarh... What else i need to learn prior... Do guide me brother My academic background is B tech Civil engineering Do u took the right path... As Algonquin college doesn't have co op !

Yaa, over all the feedback is good, co op is a drawback, but algonquin has a good name and alumni base. You should learn Civil 3d, Arc gis. These are on very high demand here for civil.
