Setting up the permissions for a BIM360 or an ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) project is one of the most important things to understand.
Control access to specific folders by setting individual, company or role permissions.

Thank you for explaining this in a great simple way. I have a question regarding the permissions when it comes to linking models in Revit. If the permission is set to view only (not with download), will they still be able to link the model in Revit? The project I'm working on doesn't have acc, we're still on BIM 360, and sorry if this is a stupid question ;-) I'm currently not a Revit user, only managing projects.

New employee. It appears, we gave him all the members perms. But, When he goes to revit and trys to open a cloud .rvt file It shows him being listed that, BUT its grayed out. Where did we go wrong? Any help appreciated, thanks mind you, in ACC under those "folder" permissions. We have that individual listed. YET, still. hey sees that .rvt file, but its grayed out for him. His perms are - 3 blue dashes. That is a one step below "admin"

I think you are asking if we can add ONE piece of fascia that has multiple pieces of wood stacked. Is that correct. If yes... then YES we can do that.. but its still actually ONE piece of fascia, but there are lines inside it to make it LOOK like there are separate pieces of wood. Kinda faking it.. but it works.

But the people invited need to have an Autodesk docs account?

A couple years ago people invited didn't have to have an account.. but now they do. Autodesk. Anyway.. there is a way around it. You can send a LINK to anyone and then they can download the file to look at it.. but they won't be able to link into the BIM360 environment online unless they have an account (own BIM360 Collaborate Pro).
