Been to Bimini many times over the years. It’s a tiny, exclusive tropical paradise and I am so glad you did not just do the typical excursion. The locals have been hit really hard recently. Glad you chose to rent a golf cart and recommended to your viewers to venture out and support small, local restaurants and little shops off the resort areas. They should not be left out from benefitting from cruise passenger dollars as they desperately need our business and they are authentic and great. So many bloggers fail to showcase local businesses and they resort to the standard excursion which does not benefit small businesses on the island. Bimini is gorgeous, safe and worth exploring at your own leisure. Great job getting out there.👍👍
Thank you for watching and for the nice comment. I’ve tried to help out locals as much as I can in my travels after the brunt of the pandemic basically gutted them. Still so sad to see so many places in the state they are in. But they’re all still smiling and so welcoming. I loved Bimini and all the people there. Can’t wait to return!
I just took a trip to Bimini, the locals explained the pandemic actually helped their economic, since the cruise ship has been docking there more. Such a beautiful island 🇧🇸, I enjoyed eating with the locals!
I enjoyed my visit in March. The people were very nice, and accommodated me with my disability. The lady on the right hand side of the Alicetown Straw Market was exceptionally nice!
I wonder why bloggers don’t mention that Hemingway lived in Bimini 3 summers and did big-game fishing for blue marlins. He was inspired there to write later The Old Man and the Sea and got Nobelpreis for this book. I would like to visit Bimini just because of it and get my portion of inspiration 😊. Also there are two restaurants on the Bimini promising his favourite food, f.e. Conch Chowder. Again nobody mentioned if it’s good and worth a try. I gonna explore 😊
What time should we start packing up to head back to return the golf cart and get on the tram. My concern is not getting back to the ship in time. How long does it take to get back to the ship if I was to drive the golf cart to south Bimini?
It’s not very far as the island isn’t big at all. I’d say give yourself 45-60 minutes from anywhere on the island to return the golf cart, catch the tram, and get back to the ship.
Hi Zach thank you so much for the information. Do you know if the Tram takes you anywhere, besides the casino, like shopping, etc? Can you get on and off all day? It will just be me and my daughter, we will want to stay close to other passengers. I'm actually a little afraid to rent a golf cart just in case there's an issue, like a break down or getting lost, or anything else that can happen. Just want my daughter to have a great day. Thank you so much! 😊
Bimini is an absolutely beautiful and wonderful. I love that it DOES NOT currently have a diamonds international and all that. It’s just truly exploring an authentic Caribbean island. I’d also suggest getting some Bimini bread from the local bakery
How timely. I just booked a Celebrity cruise in November a few hours ago stopping at Bimini. Bimini looks really chill. Seems like a great day to skip any excursions and just explore and hang out on a beach.
My sister and I are going to Bimini on Carnival in Sept 23. Love the untouched look at all the typical excursions; and just being able to get out and explore things on your own. I’ve been to marsh Harbor times in the past; before it got blasted by a hurricane… and Bimini reminds me much white marsh Harbour.
Hey Zach! Hope you are doing well! I just had to comment on this thumbnail! Love it! Totally jumped out at me when RU-vid was offering me up videos on Bimini!
Terrible American comercalized Bimini big mistake, all the history and nature is distroid, nobody need a beach club in Bimini let these tourist stay in Miami!! The new architecture don't fit there bring this back to 1987 when I was there and enjoyed the local people. The Bahamas should not allowed to destroy this prestige island. No cars or golfcars allowed everybody should walk or use bicycle !!!
How did you feel going as a solo traveler? This will be my first solo cruise and I'm super curious how you felt leaving your golf cart while you went to the beach and stuff. T.i.a!
Great review but the beach isn’t there and the golf carts I paid 120. Cash somebody said they got it 80. August of 2022 the beach was there at the end by trolly not there now . I just went there in March 2024 I’m going June 7 th :) I love Bimini
I’m assuming your comment about a gate 55 miles from Miami was a joke, because there is places of Florida that are More beautiful than some of these tropical destinations that everyone travels to
Great info! Did you make it back to the golf cart place without getting gas? Are there any local shops to get beach towels and such? And finally, how long did it take you to get back to the ship from the longest distance? I want to make sure my husband and I get back on time.
Yes, no gas needed all day! It was probably 20 mins or so from the farthest distance back to the midpoint on the island where the drop off and ship were located.
Thank you for helping me decide what to do when we arrived in Oct. I haven't been toying with the golf cart idea and this video sealed the deal..i am now even more excited!! 😊
Thanks for this port review! I’m headed to Bimini in august and now I’m more excited to do get that island vibe without all the people and retail shops! Definitely gonna get a golf cart and explore the beaches!
Love the video! They just changed our itinerary as well and I will be stopping by Bimini in a month. How long did the cart ride take you to get to the shipwreck and the beautiful beach? Also, they are the same destination correct? Or different stops?
Thanks for watching! They are basically the same place and it takes about 20 mins to drive all the way down there. Not a very big island, so easy to get around in a short amount of time.
Great video! Cruising on Sunshine May 5th 2022 and just got our port changed to Bimini and am looking forward to it! Are there a lot of golf carts available to rent or should we try to get off the ship sooner than later in order to get one? Thanks
I've been to Bimini about 10 years ago - got there by plane, and since the airport is located on the South Island, we mostly explored that island. Locals were talking about building a cruise terminal. We are now planning to visit with the cruise this upcoming January, and I was thinking of renting a golf cart, but I've heard the prices at least doubled - it's now hard to get one even for $100
Thank you for this! I’m on the Carnival Conquest on May 6th and our port was just changed to Bimini (so excited! Didn’t want to go back to Nassau just there in March) I’m confused about where you rent the golf carts. You got your right at paradise beach??
My friend, awesome job on your videos. Looks professional, then I think it might be handheld cellphone job! Your content doesn’t contain unusable junk info. My girlfriend and I are going to do a 2, hopefully 3 night to Bermuda. You have helped us plan the trip as cheap as possible. Please,,,your thoughts on MSC cruise line. We are RoyCarib cruisers but might be using MSC for the trip. Thanks
If you don’t want to rent a golf cart, are there taxis available to get you to and from the beaches/shopping and are they Easily accessible to get you back to the port?

Thanks Zach! We are going to Bimini and have already seen the Virgin Voyages Beach Club from that cruise so the golf cart rental is exactly the type of thing we enjoy. Great Job!
So glad you posted this. We had no idea what we were going to do in Bimini. The golf cart was a perfect idea. I’m not sure if we went to the correct place to rent because they were trying to charge us $140 but we talked them down to $100. We felt like we were overcharged but paid anyway. We had a great time!! Thanks for this review!!!
I'm going in a few weeks and am considering renting a golf cart. Is it one road around the island? I will be by myself and i'm worried about getting lost.
We just went Dec 11th and i was Shocked that Golf Cart Rental is $120.00! for the day NOT $65.00 like I've heard on RU-vid ,, i ask several vendors and they All were the same price! ,, We didn't take a taxi but we heard they were $5.00 to take you one way.
I’ve heard they’ve gone up. I made this video about a year ago so I guess the increase in visitors has caused an increase in price. Thanks for sharing!
We are booked on the Carnival Magic for May 2022 scheduled for Nashua and Freeport. Since we have been on multiple cruises to those ports, we figured it was a couple of days to stay on the ship. Last evening I received an email stating a change in itinerary, replacing Nassau with Bimini. Having never been there, did a quick RU-vid search and was pleasantly surprised! Definitely going ashore and exploring the island. Thank you for all of this very useful information!
I booked my upcoming cruise in large part because we are stopping in Bimini. Another video I just watched discouraged me a lot. Made me think I may have made a mistake. Your video reinvigorated me about visiting Bimini.
We are heading to Bimini in July- this was such a helpful video. We have 8 ladies for a bachelorette party. I was wondering what you choose to eat while you ventured around and relaxed on the beach? Was it easy to find different local eateries? Thanks for your video!
I actually didn’t eat anywhere on the island but there are plenty of local places to stop for food, especially toward the southern end. You’re going to have a blast and I hope you enjoy!
Hi Zach ...enjoyed the video. Thank you! I'm headed to Bimini with my 12 & 13 year old daughters in a few days. My husband is headed to Canada so I will be flying solo with my girls. We like the idea of the golf cart rental. First, is the island safe and secondly can you share the name of the gc rental company? I know you suggested that a reservation isn't necessary but want things to go smoothly. Thanks in advance!
Hey Zach. Hope you've been GOOD. Im officially subscribed!!! IDK how I wasn't. Im ALWAYS on ur channel. So I jst booked a $74 a ngt Carnival Conquest 3 ngt n Binimi is my port. Started my research on the island n BOOM u popped up 💓👓 📝
Hi Zach was just there... update on a few things... the smell of sulfer at the beach right off the port is horrid. The rentals for the golf cart are now 120.00 not 60. I was also a little confused as you said the tram would stop at paradise Beach. We looked at the map and it did not. It only took us the resort world beach which was right after 360🎉 Beach and fisherman's village. You rent the gulf carts at that location. They no longer ger go to paradise Beach. It was very disappointing. I took a photo of the map. However I can't attach it.
Just yesterday we put a hold on a cruise going to Bimini. Thanks for the insight. Looks like a good place to go and no Diamonds International or Frog 🐸 bar🍻👍
I've been to Bimini twice and found it to be beautiful! Thanks for sharing your experience at Bimini...I was curious to know how much the golf carts rented for...now I know thanks to you!
Hey Zach thank you so much for the awesome video. I will be traveling along. Which beach is the best the paradise beach or the 360 beach? I want to get on the jet skis do you think it’s cheaper to purchase at the beach when I arrive or through a third party?
Hi there. Thanks for watching! I thought Paradise Beach looked awesome and there seemed to be plenty to rent there. You may be better off trying to get one the day of. Sometimes you can get things cheaper by waiting, especially if the price is negotiable.
Great video! We are visiting soon and would love to get a golf cart. Do you know if it is a flat rate or if it’s cheaper for just a couple of hours? Thanks :)
We just got back from there : when we got off the ship we walked along the pier that was so cool because you can see fish in the water then we crossed the street we seen sea planes come in ,they had a store you can get pop and more things like snacks oh yes they have restrooms then we got on the FREE ride to the free beach rented chairs and a umbrella for $40.00 for the day the beach was clean you can get food there and cold drinks,we had a great day then back to the ship on the free ride right to the ship where you can take pictures of the ship.
Thank you for the informative video regarding Bimini island. I haven't heard of this island and was not sure what to do. Instead of booking an excursion, I will definitely rent a golfcart to explore the island.
