Bimini was my last HUGE Drag Race obsession. From the moment they came into the workroom and we saw the confessionals look (the piss yellow mullet with the white ensemble.) Just stunning, smart, funny and cute too!
I thought their face was/still is, so beautiful because I love different unique beauty. I don't have the shallow old cookie-cutter sense of what society feels it is? I feel beauty comes from if a person has a sweet caring heart first, and that's what generates a human being's loveliness, IMO. HAPPY PRIDE! 🏳🌈🌈
Bimini is definitely one of my all-time favorites. They are so real and they are truly such an artist. Their concepts are always so fresh, they're always STUNNING and I always feel giddy and excited to see what they've come up with this time.
release the beast, BIMINI! get a pillow for these girls 'cuz they sleep on me gender bender, cis-tem offender, i like it rough but my lentils tender don't be scared to embrace the fem whether you're he, she or them limp wrist, hair flick, creme de la creme love yourself, say that again!
I've never seen drag race uk but I've always been drawn to Bimini through the promos and through TikTok and now I just have the utmost respect and think she's now one of my favorites artists. So much respect
Because it was the best thing for them. Had they won they would have been tied into a much stricter contract and less able to fly they way they have. LC was a perfect drag race winner. Easy to market in a conflicted drag community. Personally feel its similar to other strong 2nds. They are 'more' artist than a drag artist.
I was so happy to see Heidi again. Very sad how it ended, and very disappointed that no one mentioned the importance of mental health and putting yourself first on the show. The audacity of Kahanna saying it was unfair to put Jessica on the bottom with her....not the right way to view that situation at all. I still adore Heidi, and unfortunately, Ru Paul may punish her and never have her back.
Great interview as usual, Joseph! Your interview skills are phenomenal; I love how you just let these people speak and give long-form answers. It feels like you’re a neutral vessel who’s there to simply platform these fascinating artists and allow them to share their stories, their points of view and their art. That’s the best quality in a journalist. And Bimini is absolutely incredible and I feel a little undervalued in the Drag Race community. IMO they’re one of the best drag artists to ever come out of the show, period. All the international franchises included. I wish I could see more of them on my television screen - they should start a podcast or something!
Bimini is amazing, so eloquent, so intelligent, so real, and so raw. I admire them, and everyone should listen to their speech to educate themselves. Incredible interview, incredible artist.
I was obsessed with Bimini during her season and follow her since then but to see her talking like that makes me fall in love again and again with her! she is the perfect embodiement of british drag! You never know what you are going to get:polish/raw etc and it's what makes them so unique!
This is by far my fav episode of exposed! Good job, I cam listen to this all day. Bimini is very articulate, and intelligently explains societal issues. Bimini has been one of my icons since introduced on uk 2. Hands down, Bimini is everything!
that was the most clever and relevent description of drag I've heard for an evergreen and always up-to-date definition that could apply in the long run !
Omfg I am SO stoked to hear that the “Rodeo” video was inspired by “Pass It On” by The Knife. If that’s the kind of vibe and reference Bimini will be going for with their music moving forward, then giiiiirl…. I am going to be there to listen and support and preorder the vinyl DAY ONE if there is one!
Bimini's point about being boxed up is so right. Labelling as one or the other or something else is self-defeating. As a CIS female teenager I was obsessed with David Bowie for years until I realised it was androgyny that attracted me. Their convo with Ginny on DRUK2 about non-binary and not being one or the other just brought it home to me.
totally relate to what they said regarding the gender binary. i'm agender and to me the binary makes no sense and doesn't feel real to me, but it's obviously very important and real for a lot of binary trans people, and i completely respect that even though it's not my own experience. everyone is different and even though i can't relate to seeing the binary the way they might, that doesn't mean their feelings and experience aren't completely and totally real. it's simply just a different existence than mine and that's okay!
One of my absolute favorite Queens from any DR franchise!! *Such* a fucking Icon, from the very moment they walked into the Werkroom and we saw them in their confessionals, it was instant love 😍 What a fucking awesome human being 🤘 *ALL HAIL BIMINI!!* 🙌 🖤 👑
Ive been adicted to drugs for more than 4 years now. Last year was the hardest cause I was arrested and was forced to go through ehabilitation and now Ive no friends. No one wants to talk to me. But therapy is something thats been really helping me. Now I think i AM a good person and I DONT want and need to kill myself. Im still trying to find the perfect balance but now its so moch easier. I dont usually comment but I want to say thank you for this interview. It reminded me that its ok to be sad and have problems even such successful artists as Bim have problems. This really made me to tear up. SEnding you lots of love and support and respect😘
Bimini definitely became bff’s with either Snow White or the Ice Queen while in LA… Whew, it’s hard to keep up with them lol. On a different note, they’re so amazing and talented.
I was wondering that - they seemed anxious and talking fast / overexplaining and repeating things , doesn't seem sure of themselves - far from the cool cat we saw on drag race :( maybe that's a result of what they've been through since though and not what you're alluding to
Tbf in a situation where we feel comfortable (not like a reality show confessional) British people speak really quickly, as a Brit I didn’t notice anything wrong until your comment and you may have a point but just something to keep in mind from a UK perspective
@@cameronbeattie3087 I'm British and I noticed it too - just seems different from how they used to be. I kinda felt bad for them I feel like they've lost some confidence
LOVE ❤️ BIMINI É UMA DAS QUEENS QUE MAIS ADMIRO E DIGO JÁ QUE FOI A MAIOR INJUSTIÇA QUE OCORREU NO R.P.D.R. ELA FOI A VENCEDORA DE D.R.U.K SEASON 2 NOT LAWRENCE 😮. WHY RU PAUL.🤮👽😠🤡😈. GOD BLESS THIS QUEEN 🤩😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👏👏🌞💖🤠🙏💐🌹🌻🍀😘😘😘😘😘😘😘💪
