Starting at the hamlet of Binġemma (limits of Mġarr) we climb the hill along Binġemma Valley to the chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Itria and proceed into and across the valley to the necropolis of rock-cut Paleo-Christian tombs. We then head for Nadur Hill and hike along the Victoria Lines through fields of flowering Erica Multiflora (Erika / Mediterranean Heath) towards Fort Binġemma, enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the north of Malta bathing in brilliant midwinter sunshine. We return to Binġemma via Tas-Santi and the road beneath the Great Fault.
