Hello everyone! In this ASMR video, we open 540 Magic The Gathering Theros Cards together---I got 9 shiny foil cards! There is soft speaking, whispering, card sounds and crinkling. This is my first time with MTG cards. SO MANY people requested them after I published my Yugioh cards video that I went and bought two boxes of MTG (72 booster packs and 1080 cards total) specifically to unbox on this channel. If you guys really like this, please let me know, and I will purchase more (thank you Patreon). The boxes are very expensive, so I won't continue to buy them unless you find these vids to be enjoyable and triggering---your feedback is very important in letting me know what kinds of videos to make in the future---please don't hesitate to let me know what works for you! Hey Heather, great vid, thought Id let you know about some good cards that you got: -Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx -Fleecemane Lion (foil) -Stormbreath Dragon -Temple of Deceit -Prophet of Kruphix -Theros Elspeth Emblem -Mistcutter Hydra -Anger of the Gods -Fanatic of Mogis (foil) -Bow of Nylea -Nylea, God of the Hunt Kinda sucks that you only got 2 mythics from a whole box but theese are possibly the best cards out of the whole box in terms of price and useful-ness.Please make another one of these again, but maybe do Pokemon?

If you ever do another one of these I would recommend reading the italics bits near the bottom of the cards cause I used to spend HOURS just reading the same kinds of things on Pokemon cards

Had a look through the comments and didn't spot a pack breakdown, so thought I'd leave it just for anyone interested. MtG Packs contain a mixture of different rarity cards. The symbol on the right of the card type (about halfway down, under the image) indicates the rarity. One booster pack includes 11 common cards (black symbol), 3 uncommon cards (silver symbol), and 1 rare (gold) or mythic rare (red-gold) card. These are in order (commons at front, rares/mythics at the back). Sometimes a common is replaced with a land card (Plains, Forest, Mountain, Island, Swamp), a token (usually a generic creature such as "Soldier" or "Bear" which you don't put in your deck directly but can be summoned during play by other cards), and those rules tip cards. Foils are randomly included and always appear at the back of the pack, after the rares. They can be of any rarity - so you can get a foil rare and a normal rare in the same pack. Foil cards are worth more (plus they're shiny!) but the rarity is usually a better indicator of the card's actual strength. Anyway, hope that helped. Wonderful video, Heather, thanks!

Just a heads up. MAgic doesn't have 'traditional' holographics (other than promos and stuff. UNLESS they changed that lol) On the right side of the card, there is the set symbol. Black = common Silver = Uncommon Gold = Rare You will notice, your first 'holo' was a common. Keep your rares separate too... and i'm not through the whole vid... but i am hoping you get a holo rare ^_^ Magic originally had NO holos. seems they kind of did a pokemon thing now, by making random cards holo.

nykthos, shrine to nyx 5.50 foil fleecemane lion 3.50 stormbreath dragon 2.75 nylea, god of the hunt 3.75 theros is not a standard set anymore (sets rotate out every 18 months i believe) so these cards are used for other formats of the game. that means unless it has a good use in a modern deck, then most of the cards arent really worth much. the above ones are the only ones in there that are over 2 dollars. over all, it was a pretty bad box, if yuo had gotten a thoughtseize (20$) of any of the planeswalkers (4-5$) that would have been cool. if you were to do thse in the future i would go for a standard set (easy to google what's most recent at the time). some cards can be worth upwards of 50-60 dollars if they are playable and so you could possibly make your money back from the deck and still have a nice video since you don't play. just my thoughts since i like these videos (i watch the vids from people who play it, and it's never so soft spoken or relaxing lol)

Love the artwork on the Magic the gathering cards, I'm not really a player but I collect them whenever I can. Love looking at the artwork and trying to draw it out on a big canvas lol.

Heather Feather ASMR I fell asleep by about two packs in but if you didn't already know the common cards have the black symbol on the right next to the name, rare or better are different colors like silver or red. If you went through those you could probably sell them and make your money back.

Jesus, even the shrink wrap is premium. It boggles my mind when I think about how they make such trivial things so well. Well you know what I mean, it's hardly an essential purchase although I'd be right up there to own a collection myself if I ever stopped resisting the urge.

I love card games, Pokemon and Magic cards were the coolest thing back in the day, getting a brand new pack and not knowing if it was gonna be just mediocre cards or something really rare, what an exciting feeling. I remember my first holo Pokemon card in a booster pack, a Venomoth. The game was fun to play if you could find someone with a good deck but I never went to tournaments. Definitely regret that. The card art is the best part imo. Much respect to those artists. A lot of work goes into these little paper cards. Blagh, nostalgia.

Posey Strika I gave up on drawing and painting a few years ago, used to do it for hours every day since childhood and was never happy with my work =/ the finished product of any piece is a good feeling though

Oooh my god, I just saw this in my feed. I won't be watching it now, but I am so excited about falling asleep to it today *-* I love it when you do videos about cards or videos similar to the Sailor Moon one you did. Those sounds give me the chills ♥ Heather, I've been following you for a while now and listen to your videos while I'm studying, when I feel stressed and whenever I feel like I can't fall asleep. these Cards are really exeptionally done in art style i dont know ANYTHING about the card game but i fully intend to get to learning it ASAP. it seems really cool! and i always been a yugioh card player, long story short. amazing video Heather! and im hoping im going to have fun with Magic the gathering!
