Gl with the camera lasting lol. 3 cameras have died on light crashes where an element is just showing the frame in the sensor while flying. Otherwise the damn thing flew great! After the last camera death I converted it to a 75mm frame and 40mm bi blades.
I cannot agree more that BetaFPV VTX and camera are super weak, they break easily like nothing and is costly to replace. They do have some quality control issue compare to other manufactures. I am constantly fixing BetaFPV products, just look at my channel and you will see..LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@iFLYXWings6589 yep! Lol 3 cameras, 1 aio and like 5 frames and a motor 🤣. But I honestly not sure I like my mobula 7 either lol. Broke the elrs antenna already doing IGOW week 3 lol. But the meteor frame just feels like it flies better than the mobula. Maybe I’m just over being careful with the meteor 😆

Well, if you want to flash the ELRS receiver firmware directly with the ELRS configurator, you will need to connected the ELRS receiver to your computer for the firmware to have a target to flash to. However, the ELRS receiver is normally does not have direct plug for PC connection. So if you want to flash it directly in one go, you will have to flash it via betaflight passthrough, which datas are transferred from your FC to the RX. This is not that easy as it often fails. Flashing the RX via Wifi is still the current easiest method IMO
I understand your pain, the main reason why ELRS is not straight forward is due to it is a free project provided by a group of people working for free, so it is fair that we spend a little more time for free products.
@iFLYXWings6589 I appreciate the work put in. But, after hours of mucking about, I still had to downgrade to a different fw to get it to bind, and have stick input. Now, after all of that, it still won't arm. Very frustrating. I sat it to the side and will try again when I have time
Okay so I found esp8285 and it’s under generic 2.4ghz my problem is I got to bind to my Zorro but I can’t get any movements out of the drone. Both on 3.0.1. Also anyone else have an issue with PC WiFi dropping out as soon as you connect the Rx? And I can’t access the Rx cause no WiFi? My Darwin was not like this wtf pls help Update: I got it to bind on 3.3 had to do it through beta flight passthrough. MAKE SURE everything is lined up with beta flight before you try and bind with passthrough
Hey I know this is probably not going to be answered but I have a problem I’m using the literadio 2 se frsky d8 and it won’t bind, I tried the 3 plug method and still won’t bind
So, im newt into that fpv drone thing and i have a question. You said that there need to be airflow so the drone wont burn. How sirious is this ? I mean, is it like that with all drones in this price ? Also woupd be gratefull if you could recommend a drone for beginner. A friend recommended a drone from meteor series amd the tx12 radio with either eachine 800d or fatshark recon hd googles. Up to if i would want to go analog or digital.
When leaving the drone idle The thing that is going to heat up the most is your VTX, you want to have air flow to cool it down. Its not actually going to “burn” but more like fried due to high heat. For beginners quads,based on your setup I will suggest to start with micros, Mobula 7 will be a good choice
when i go to elrs configurator my target is diy devices 2.4 gh and device is DIY Mini ESP32 SX1280 2.4GHz TX, is this the correct one to use for my meteor 75 pro?
my correct target is DIY_2400_RX_ESP8285_SX1280 but when using expresslrs configurator it only gives me the option to choose the mini tx target, theres no other diy device catergory to choose from@@iFLYXWings6589
I have a meteor 75 pro with a radiomaster zorro with an elrs nano module. I have tried everything to bind. Had to use the 15.1 configuator for the rx. I put in a bindphrase. Now i cannot put a bindphrase in the tx using any version of the configurator. I get an error message wth version 15.1 and just a bin file with the newest version. i got the zorro 4 in 1 to use with my other planes helis and quads but this elrs is the most frustrating by far. P.S. I did try the 3 plug in method too.
hi, I followed your guide but the configurator only creates the firmwear.bin file for me. How do I also get the DIY_2400_RX_ESP8285_SX1280-3.2.0 file? other thing, the configurator in the taget option gives me DIY Mini ESP32 SX1280 2.4GHz TX which is different from what appears to you.
With latest version of ExpressELRS configurator they moved the target under the "generic 2400...". You will not find it anymore under DYI. However I also downgraded the configurator following the workaround in this comments.

I can't manage to have my meteor75 to properly bind. I get binding on my ELRS radio tx but I don't see any movement of sticks reflected in Betaflight :( I am getting crazy. Any help?
@@italianpizzasecrets4761 understood, but it does not hurt to try trun it on and off to see if it fix the problem. BTW you are mentioning it was bounded to your zorro. When you unplug the quad, does it say telemetry loss? If not, it is not bounded
@@iFLYXWings6589 hey! Yeah they were all recommending using the diy 2.4 but it would always say “not enough space” error when flashing it. Thankfully! I tried what I thought was right for the firmware and it gave me the whole mismatch thing but it worked! Thank you so much for your response !!

@iFLYXWings6589 so following this video I was able to bind sticks and switches respond in the receiver tab on betaflight but the quad won't arm on a lipo. Flag says calibrating msp so I calibrate accelerometer but the flag doesn't go away. I'm stuck with what to do
I never tried it for this particular model but assume it will work? You can give it a try. Using the binding phase is still the recommended way to bind based on ELRS 😆
Well… firstly sorry to hear that… if you think you accidentally fried it, I will suggest contacting the manufacturer to see if there are any quick fix’s, or please describe more of what issue you are having
