It only stung him once only but it was through the heart and the sting [which is barbed] got lodged in his chest..When he got back on the boat, the barb was still in his chest..Then he pulled it out, and died a minute later..If he left the barb in until the hospital, he might of survived!....Pure accident.

​@Timbo6669 that is incorrect. The barb was NOT in his chest when he went up to the boat, the barb never even came off the stingray. It stabbed him, he didn't pull it out. The cameraman himself said so in detail in an interview.

I wouldn't say she's annoying but no one can be that quiet voiced

That has actually already happened in fact there were reports after his death of Mass Slaughter of stingrays on various beaches around the world certain people even admitted to doing it and retribution for Steve Irwin's death and Bob Irwin and Terri later came out and said that Steve would have been appalled by that behavior they also said that that was the last thing he would have ever wanted and said that he would have wanted us to continue to be aware of and protect and love all wildlife including rays

Believe it or not, Stingrays are extremely docile animals. The reason the Stingray attacked Steve (according to the only eye-witness) was because Steve was swimming up behind it for a shot and the Stingray was startled, probably thinking it was a Tiger Shark and not Steve. According to the witness, Steve and the Ray got along fine until the accident

@@BrianSmith-jx7td thats horrible, when animals attack,they don't do it out of malice like humans,they do it to protect themselves,sad that people who claim to love Steve don't have the same love for animals.
