justice has been served well :) Kylie winning the Miss International crown is a sweet victory since Maxine only made it in the Top 6 of Miss Universe. At the end, Kylie was truly the winner in this batch LOL Congrats Kylie! Never in a moment did I think Maxine has a chance of winning the MU. I thought that when she would get to be in the Q and A portion, it will significantly pull her down. Maxine does not come even close to Pia's communication skills or Kylie's English articulateness. I admire her grace, beauty and elegance that helped her through the Top 6. Unfortunately, she has a difficulty comprehending questions in English and putting together a coherent answer in English #fact This is why I was surprised that she did not answer the question in Filipino and let the interpreter do his job. On the other hand, Kylie's MI speech blew me away. The context and message were there. She was able to express herself very eloquently. This is something that clearly Maxine lacked #fact

I like Nicole Manalo...when Maxine was called Miss Universe Philippines she was clapping. I just hope BPCI would create two separate pageants 1 for the two major crowns and another one for the 4 minor crowns, first is Miss Universe Philippines pageant same quality as with the current production of Bb.Pilipinas with Miss International Phils. as a second crown with 2 runners up to be held at the Big Dome. And for the minor crowns call it Binibining Pilipinas but with a less grand production and can be held in Kia Theathre. And please with new crowns, Especially for Miss Universe Philippines.

Pros and Cons of this Pageant Edition: Pros • Good Pageant • Good Production Numbers • Stunning Ladies • Outstanding Winners • Excellent Hosts Cons • Poor Production Camera (seems an old tape pageant). • Crowns were beautiful and elegant looking but was too big (just like sagala crowns).

I realized Maxine reached top 6 but she got bashed by many Filipinos while Gazini just reached top 20 but many praised her. I wonder why? Is it because Gazini is a half.

Love how Pia always makes sure that the crown she's passing is facing in the right direction!!!

This is the year where the pannel of judges picked kylie in International because they don’t want to risk Kylie in Universe because of the fact that Back2back win in Miss Universe is really hard and close to impossible, adding the fact na may idea na sila at that time na sa Pilipinas gagawin ang Miss U. Ayaw nila sumugal at masayang yung kandidata. That’s also the reason why Maxine picked in Universe, kumuha sila ng pag natalo, hindi nakakapang hinayang, yung hindi malakas. This is when the pannel has been actually very smart in choosing.

First time ive seen and i could see the disappointments in Kylie's eyes and reaction. She should've won the crown! She nailed it! But nonetheless, she has proved herself for bagging the Ms. International title! 👍🏾

Nonetheless, Nicole is the smartest among the candidates.

Hindi naman sa english grammar ang labanan. Yung ibang contestants nga may interpreter pa. Tayo lang namang mga kapwa pilipino ang pumupuna pero yung mga judges deadma sila dun. In fact isa ang Filipino sa the best magcompose ng english sentence compared to other asian countries. Hindi ko sinabing perfect magenglish since secondary language lang natin ito. Subukan nyong kumausap ng chinese and thai (sorry hindi naman sa dinidown ko sila pero yung accent at grammar natin is more acceptable) ewan ko na lang kung maintindihan nyo agad. Pero infairness sa ibang asian countries (maisingit ko lang) pinapahalagahan nila ang language nila at kahit di sila fluent mag english di yun big deal sa kanila. May sarili silang alphabet (nakakainggit yun dahil kung hindi tayo nasakop may sarili din tayong atin which is Alibata) Napaka rich ng culture nila kung tutuusin. Oh well Pilipino tayo magaling din tayo sa ibat ibang mga bagay at kinikilala tayo sa ibat ibang bansa. wag tayong maghilahan pababa. Kandidata natin yan. Nakakahiya sa social media pa tayo nagkakalat! let us just support her. i am sure gagawin nya ang lahat para sa pilipinas.

I think the reason why Maxine was able to nab the crown is because her answer was genuine although not delivered spontaneously. Yes, she was straining but that further proves that she's sorting out her thoughts to convey what she wanted to. Some of the candidates responded spontaneously, but to no avail, they sounded like they were trying to impress the panel instead of expressing their viewpoints. Fluency isn't the main basis. Maxine holds a lot of potential. Her response was on the spot and she can always improve her delivery. There's always room for improvement and change can't be done overnight. So, let us not underestimate Maxine's capacity. Instead, we must look forward on her journey and battle to Miss Universe.

Based on their reactions, they're just there for the Universe. I'm glad that the recently concluded BBP has forces of women that's grateful and made their international pageant worthy to watch. The BBP Org saw something in her that's why she's the one crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2016. On my observation, she's very queenly. hindi exaggerated ang performance nya. her beauty is very asian and malayo sa beauty ni Pia which is good as we can show the universe na may iba ibang beauty ang pinay. She messed up a bit on her Q&A but for me, her answer was so not rehearsed. she was being herself. and that's the #1 thing the judges always look for. And her name! my god! Maria Mika Maxine Medina. Alam nyo na! haha

Si Pia ang reigning na Miss Universe nung time na to. And we all know for a fact na very rare ang chance na magbigay ng back to back win ang MU. So, BPC sent the best candidate to Miss International for a higher chance of winning. And it all paid off. Kylie is Miss International 2016!

I don't know what's in ABS-CBN that made BB Pilipinas a major power player since taking over BPCI from GMA in 2011. Since they started their own BPCI coverage, BB Pilipinas has five winners (2 Miss International in 2013 and 2016, 1 Miss Universe in 2015, 1 Miss Supranational in 2013 and 1 Miss Globe in 2015), 9 finishes in the Top 5 and 10 semifinalists. That's 24 of 27 winners who advanced to the next round of BPCI's six current memberships (Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Globe, Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Grand International).

I'm pleased with the results! I haven't paid attention to the pre-pageant activities, so I had no defined favorites to win. The only names I had in mind were Kylie Verzosa and Nichole Manalo. Through the course of the pageant, my top 3 consisted of Kylie, Nichole, and Maxine. Maxine's beauty made my jaw drop, and was hoping for her to win a crown. After her Q&A blunder, I was hoping for Kylie to win Miss Philippines Universe. Nichole winning MGP was a shocker. When Kylie won MIP, I was disappointed that she didn't win the highly coveted title of MUP. But then Maxine snatched it and I was pleased. Though I still wish Kylie had won MUP.

And Maxine Medina did so well in Miss universe competition. She was So gorgeous,the gown was so stunning,her performance so unquestionable.

yesterday's TWBA featured Maxine and two other bb queens (it was an interview) Boy Abunda asked the same questions dropped to them during the q & a. the 2 sticked with their original answers but maxine rephrased hers; it was obvious she was again cracking. I really hope this coming months she works on her q & a because if not shell not be able to enter the top 3 . Goodluck and Godbless Ms Philippines ill wait for ur GLORIOUS TRANSFORMATION.

Just an idea for Binibining Pilipinas to make its coronation moments more dignified: get someone to accompany the Binibini queen so she doesn't have to do everything. The companion can give the bouquet while the queen can place the sash and then pass the crown.

Despite the questionable disqualifications of Kim Ross Williams and Janelle Olafson and the debate between Kylie Verzosa and Maxine Medina, the Binibining Pilipinas Class of 2016 is one of the most successful batches in Binibining Pilipinas history. Sure, Kylie Verzosa won Miss International 2016 and Jeslyn Santos won Miss United Continents 2016, but in fairness, I go with Binibining Pilipinas debutants. Kylie started in 2015 while Jeslyn started in 2014. Karen Ibasco leads the way for the Binibining Pilipinas Class of 2016 with a major title, Miss Earth 2017, and Sarah Christine Bona helped the Philippines win Miss Nature Intercontinental 2017.

*I was expecting Nicole Manalo or Kylie Verzosa to get the Miss Universe crown. They've been the toughest in the Q&A as well as in Swimsuit and Evening Gown Competition.*

I don't know why people are fighting over Kylie winning the BBP-International crown and not BBP-Universe. Kylie was phenomenal in Tokyo and went on to keep the Philippines' Big Four winning streak alive with the MI 2016 title as the PH won at least one Big Four pageant crown for the fourth straight year starting with Bea Rose Santiago's MI 2013 crown. Since Bea Rose's MI 2013 win, the Philippines went on to win a total of six Big Four titles in the last four years (Bea Rose Santiago MI 2013, Megan Young in MW 2013, Jamie Herrell in ME 2014, Angelia Gabriela Ong in ME 2015, Pia Wurtzbach in MU 2015 and Kylie Verzosa in MI 2016).
