The distance between our green and brown spaces is increasing more and more. Shneel combines bio-research and architecture to design living spaces that blur the lines between natural and concrete jungles. She also proposes a way to empower small-scale artisan communities to adapt futuristic solutions, through economical and easily available cultural techniques - thus creating a sustainable future city. Shneel Malik is a licensed Architect and an interdisciplinary Biodesign researcher. Currently pursuing her PhD Research as part of the Bio-Integrated Design (Bio-ID) Lab at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. She investigates the design and fabrication of large-scale photosynthetic membranes for applications within Architecture.
