Sorry for such a late upload, I've been trying to upload this same damn video since Wednesday! On that note, next week they're may not be a new video as I am rather ill which makes for poor narrating so hopefully the week after next week ill have something for you guys.

Ahh, Quinlan Vos. When I was around four, I was given a comic with some of his escapades. I didn't understand any of it, but damn did I find him cool. Wasn't until years and years later that I actually became a fan and understood his story. I loved his struggle with the Dark Side.

Yeah some of the dark horse comics weren't too toddler friendly lol. I feel a lot of the star wars comics had some pretty deep and intricate stories that went underappreciated for years.

Quinlan Vos was one of the best of the EU, the Dark Horse Clone Wars series we’re so underrated. Tholme and K’Kruhk were also some of the best Jedi in those.

I preferred Quinlan Vos ending up with Khaleen Hentz instead of Asajj Ventress. He had too much in common with Ventress; with Khaleen, you can tell these 2 LOVE one another. It was touching that he vowed to leave the Jedi Order just to raise the child Khaleen was bearing

Quinlan Vos with Asajj Ventress simply doesn't makes sense, and it's too forced! They only served the same master, Count Dooku, but they barely worked together! And as you said, they've had too much in common to be a functional and realistic couple! Quinlan Vos and Khaleen Hentz will be always the best choice of a couple!

⁠@@jaylenware363I can also see Tholme being a surrogate grandfather to Korto. Like his former apprentice Tholme survived order 66 and went into hiding on Kashyakk which is where he was then reunited with Qulian so it would make sense.

I’m really glad you inspired me to read the original Republic comics. Quinlan’s story has become one of my favorites and loved the parallels between him and Anakin when it comes to their fall to the dark side and redemption It was also cool knowing John Ostrander wrote some of them and the Legacy comics too. I’ve read some of his original Suicide Squad work (trust me they’re better than the film) and I actually read a comic about Cade Skywalker once when I was younger.

TJ Vause I actually read his whole Spectre run between my old comment comment and your reply. Also definitely one of my favorites now. You can tell he knew things about theology but more than that it made me really love Jim Corrigan as a character too. Really great that it had a proper ending and send off. It felt like a great standalone run. I also read some other Spectre stuff since but Ostrander’s run is definitive for sure.

In the new canon novel Dark Disciple they ripped off Quinlan's story from these Dark Horse comics. "'creative freedom."

Ironinquisitor how bad was it? I know they for some reason put him and “Ventress” together for some reason. Any other bad mistakes?

Ironinquisitor They actually planned to retcon the comic version of the Arc and bring the Arc to the clone wars cartoon.

It was derived from unmade clone wars episodes, which had they been made wouldve smashed the EU to pieces cause apparently tholme dies in that version, though its unknown if that was added in to fit with discanon or not. Either way what was explained before is far better.

Qulian probably wasn’t interested in joining. He was planning on leaving the Jedi Order to raise his son though this was of course briefly halted by order 66.

Since he probably survived well past the fall of the empire He probably heard of Luke and his new Jedi Order though he probably still wasn’t interested in joining. This was probably his reaction. Qulian. Uhh I’m not interested in joining his new order. I am a old man now and I have been retired for decades. I’d rather peacefully spend my retirement here on Kashyakk. However I am glad that the Jedi Order has returned and that Jedi are now allowed to get married and have children.

Great,video on one of my favourite Jedi, his book in the new Canon Dark Diciple is just a lackluster ripoff of the dark horse comics and it ruined Master Tholme's character.

Are you talking in Clone Wars? No she didn't, she said she learned to let him go. Quinlan appeared in the show after that.

BTW half the story was fake. 1, he fell in love with Ventress. And 2, it was his love for Ventress and her love for him that turned quinlan back to the light, u really should update this

Doesn’t count. That entire story is new canon media created after and based on the retcons made by TCW. In the original canon timeline (which is being discussed here) Ventress’s story ends at the battle of Boz Pity after which she escape to the outer rim never to be seen again. So no, he doesn’t have to « update » anything.

...Dark disciple is like sons of Dathomir in that regard. Since TCW basically retcons and contradicts the entire conflict as it was first written between 2002 and 2005, the channel’s host just decides to ignore it to un-muddle the timeline.

It's really sad. We're going to see this more and more in the future. The original stories will be forgotten and Filoni's kiddie wars will be all people know.
