Biocomposite Scythian Bow form Grozer 

the scythian design is my favorite one among the horsebows. it looks so sleek compared to all the others. its also incredible how the working part of the bow is just the three or four inches from either side of the handle. The rest of the limbs are basically static, not bending in the slightest. Try to make that design without horn (or fiberglass? for modern reproductions) and the bow will break or take massive set and become useless within a hundred shots at most.

Hi! Great review and good encouragement for me to master my drawing and shooting skills. When I acquired this Scythian biocomposite from Grozer, the first feeling was as as if the bow was a bit stiff to draw and it didn't match my long arms. Now with thumb ring release I feel more at ease with this bow. Probably all short horsebows are meant for Asiatic thumbring release rather then Mediterranean grip and release. It gives you more draw length and better crisp releases and more accurate shots in the field
