This video gives you deep knowledge on Ammonia (TAN), Nitrite (NO2), Nitrate (NO3), Heterotrophic and Nitrifying Bacteria in tank based BioFloc fish culture.
Greetings and thanks for the in-depth knowledge. I've been using your probiotic for my trial tank. In my 5k liter tank, I've 2000 Koi (water in the tank is 2250 Lts.). I never had any problem with controlling Ammonia. Initially, the ammonia range was 0.5 to 1.0 ppm, Nitrite: 0.5 to 1.0 ppm. After 15 days the Nitrite has become zero and Nitrate is almost negligible. The amount of carbon source added for controlling ammonia is almost half as compared to the initial stage. No mortality so far. Please keep sharing scientific knowledge so that BFT is in the right track in India. Thanks again.
Many many thanks Aftab Sir. I am very impressed for your scientific explanation about Biofloc related bacterias nitrite & nitrate and it's role in the field of BFT.
Dear Sir, good wishes. For a very long time I have been reading or following many channels their videos and explanations about Biofloc based farming. Today I fortunately came across your channel. I was impressed with your genuine, professional and non-commercial attitude based lecture about the whole thing. I am immensely praising your information. Thank you Sir. I am basically a engr in my 50s belonging to Odisha and interested to get in to this. Once all plan goes well, I will ONLY contact you before I progress in this set up.
U describe so technically ... And easy to understand all common people .... Sir please make one video which includes all majors of biofloc system also share all practicals perform by u....
Sir apna jo jo bat kahe hai wo bilqul thek kahe hai very informative sir mara tank ma same yhe sab huwa hai sir. Har chez isi tarha sa chal rahe hai jasa apna bataya hai Thank you sir 😊
Very Good Coverage. Fantastic Knowledge you have shared. God bless you. Actually log C:N ratio leke thora sa vi nehi janti. Iss liye kuch nehi janti. Molasses Reduces NH4 & NH4+. And Increases Protin.
Dear sir , could you kindly refer any book for me , which has all the items that you are discussing in this video or more , and where I can get the book , also also thank you for a very good lecture
Appreciate your Passionate Explanation 👍 What is your expected Biomass as per your mixed stocking at the end of 6month or 8month culture in 5000ltr tank ?
Hello Sir, I like your videos and you are doing a great job in teaching public about biofloc. However you need to correct some minor details in your concept. It is not desirable to run your biofloc using heterotrophs only. The correct way to run your system is to build up your biofloc from 5 ml at time of fish introduction to about 20 ml over the next two months using carbohydrates to neutralize Ammonia. Also in a conventional way (if Nitrifying bacteria is not artificially introduced) it takes at least 40 to 50 days for them to develop. Once you reach 20 ml or so in 2 months you switch to no addition external carbohydrate to keep floc density steady. It does not mean "No carbon" like you are saying. There is carbohydrates in fish excreta and the heterotrophs takes up that in priority just like you explained. However if you were to remove all Ammonia by adding carbohydrates the floc density will rise and total biomass of the pond will increase. This will put strain on your aeration system and fish will suffer. Also you would be forced to remove flocs you developed to keep system under control. At that point correct procedure would be not to add lots of extra carbohydrates but to let Nitrifying develop (or introduce them) to take care of the remaining Ammonia. Yes there will be a gradual build up of Nitrates in your pond unless you use a settling tank to evacuate the waste from the center and ferment it anaerobically. This also reduces the Nitrates. If there is proper aeration and no dead zones are allowed to exist, there should be no issues of Ammonia out of control or Nitrite poisoning. Please note that it is important to keep the system Alkalinity to 150 or above and compensate for loss of it by use of Dolomite or Ca CO3. This will also help you tighten the swing of PH. Under these conditions C/N ratio may vary from 6 to 10. Also when fish is grown up a few months feed is only a few percentage of body mass and a 24% protein(33.9% eqt in RAS) will do just fine. I am not justifying any particular probiotic claim, but just wanted to convey to you that Biofloc is not a pure heterotrophic system. You do not have to believe me but look up the research done and published on biofloc in both US and Europe.
@@hasanmehdi6103 For your pond to have a more or less steady PH, so that the Fish will have good growth, you need good Alkalinity in the pond. Alkalinity is the ability of the pond to resist PH change. This is the reason, you start Biofloc pond preparation with Ca CO3, or Dolomite (Calcium Megnesium Carbonate). You need to check the salinity of your water and then add the above, to make it around 150 ppm or more. As the pond ages, the alkalinity will decrease and they should be readded to keep level constant.
@@hasanmehdi6103 Yes, Captain Vlog is also a good guy like Fish gyan. I am part of IMF, Kerala promoting Science of fish farming among Kerala Fish Farmers. Let us all collabrate to get Indian farmers educated correctly. There is a great need to help our Indian farmers learn about Rain harvesting to remove water problems for the country and Aquaculture will be a great bonus that can easily improve farmer incomes. It is possible to double farmer income easily in 2 to 3 years at very little cost if proper science is applied.
Sir, Many Many thanks for the explanation. We are waiting to know about more details of NO2 & NO3. Is it required to check NO2 & NO3 as daily basis? How it will check? If it is more or less as required then what will do ? Requesting to make a vedio regarding this.
salam, my name is Muhammad Hilal Khan, sir i belong from pakistan peshawar. i am continuously watching your esteem lecture on biofloc, i relay appreciate the way of your teaching and guidance. sir i have been motivated by your lecture i now i also want to start and learn biofloc system. sir as you know it is not possible to come to your place but i am requesting that please i need the exact calcutation that how to make biofloc in a specific water tank capacity and then how i how i will maintained it till the end. as you know on you tube different guider give different weight of salt, caco3, molases, and probiotic so now i have been confused that which one is correct. thanks alot sir for your videos and i am waiting for your reply. a lot of love from pakistan. good bless you.
Sir G bangladesh Ya Nepal me aap ki koi training a rahi hai aur probiotics purchase kaRne keleye bataye AAp ka probiotics very Good hai AAp Bohat Achi Jankari deete hai I like it your all videos .
if 100 kg fish of fish 4% feed rate 4kg with 30% protein at final stage 100 kg fish perduce 192 gram nitrogen so i need 10 times more carbon which means 2 kg of molasses every day for 100kg fishes how it will work....? its not cost effective
Good explanation.seems you're very transparent.very useful information to everyone.for good maintenance what are all the steps to be taken for beginners please tell me sir. I'm also interested.Thank you.
Sir, In my 10000 litres tank fish density 1700, Water parameters are Ammonia- 0, Ammonium - .0.25, pH - 7. drains 2 liters sludge daily. Floc below 5%. Feed gives 100 gram/0.8 size in two times. I think there works nitrifying bacterias. What I have to do to take control of the tank by heterotrophic bacterias and to develop floc density to 15%. I request your help. Thank you
Even your ammonia is zero keep adding some amount of carbon source to facilitate ammonia assimilation by Heterotrophic bacteria which will help Heterotrophs to take control.
