@@tashatrepanier6654 they are both. Aurora was adopted by the crazy Pieces and the crazy Pieces consider Jamie their daughter as well. Jamie is biologically Aurora's mother. And according to the Crazy Pieces they are open to whatever relationship comes. I believe they cover this in depth in a video on their channel.
Soo sweet that Jamie although sees Aurora as her sister but still protective over Aurora being that she is the birth mother. I love your relationship and your family.
Question for Melinda: Do think of Aurora as a sibling or more as a niece- how do you plan to navigate and explain the relationship between Scarlet and Aurora when she’s a little older? Are they more like cousins or will it be explained that Aurora is her aunt? Love you all so much 🥰🥰
@@wanupgirl actually biologically she’s Aurora’s aunt and Scarlett is Aurora’s first cousin. But through adoption she’s Aurora’s sister and Scarlett is Aurora’s niece

I can remember Crystal saying ages ago that they’ll make Aurora aware of the situation but her and Aaron are her parents. I imagine they’d do the same for Aurora, Melinda and scarlet. Would make sense for them to just be family and not worry about her playing the role of an Aunty or a cousin etc. Either way they’re all so lucky to be surrounded with so much love from each other!

You can tell that Jamie loves Aurora so much and it’s so sweet, must’ve been so hard for her let go of her because of her own problems but she did the right thing for her child, so admirable
@@babylish1711 well in this video the question clearly stated “which sibling are you most protective of?” And Jamie answers “Aurora” so that would suggest she sees her as a sister not as her daughter.
@@eilrahc101 I understand that but she’s definitely drawn to aurora a lot more (which it’s obvious why) so her individual feeling could be that she does still see aurora as her daughter but she just answered the question as it was

Jamie made me choke up with her concern over Halie. She is clearly with a family she worries about and loves. Love, love, love that Jamie is so in tune with Aurora...she is so lucky Aurora was adopted by Crystal and Aaron. Melinda and Jamie are strong woman with all they have been through in life...and blessed to have found Crystal/Aaron/family.

Jamie.. I lived near Hollywood for 69 years and never visited.. my children however did visit and said it’s not all we imagine and to be careful wondering around alone in the area..

You should do a series about your past, up until foster, then during, then after finding your forever fam. I love your relationship with your adoptive parents. I also have a special needs sister and was adopted by my late great grandparents. Your whole family makes my heart happy!
Melinda, you are so beautiful inside and out. You've overcome so much. I understand that people want to know things; however, I hope you know you never have to share more than you want to. The adoption story video you did with your parents on their channel is so thorough that it's okay if you just want to refer people to it. You should only do another video recounting all of that if it is healing for you. Don't do it just to answer questions from the audience. You are so strong and courageous. I'm also a survivor of sexual abuse and I can say that you are more together and responsible than I am and I'm twice your age.
I was reading some of the comments ... I want to say Melinda YOU are AWESOME to be supporting your sister the way you are. I know so many adults with special needs who are stuck living in group homes and other undesirable settings... It is so wonderful that you are willing to support your sister so she can have a full life and participate in the community and be around family and friends. I know so so so many who are not permitted because all their family turn their back on them and the government isolates them. Thank you for being a wonderful sister.

My mom re-married and my step sister was 10. She had been adopted by my stepdad and his first wife. The first wife sent her to live with us. My mom wanted to adopt her but my sister had already been through two moms and didn’t want another. My mom got sick when we were adults. My sister finally wanted to be adopted and she was 46. My mom adopted her. It’s never to late to do it.
I think both of you are such wonderful role models. Jamie, you made a hard and selfless decision. I am so so proud of you! Your siblings have a wonderful big sisters to look up to.

While watching your hike video and knowing you were a new couple. I as an mom and a grandmother didn't like how he just walked off in front of you not once checking on you. I really love your videos. I'm from New Zealand too. Better put us on your list to visit one day. The wildlife does not try to kill you... We live in the future, so it's almost like time travel... Beaches everywhere! I had never thought of the question of how Scarlett and Aurora are related. Yeah that is a bit tangled. I know your family is religious, and LDS discourages let's just say...'relations'...outside of marriage. Did your pregnancy cause any tension within your family? Melinda, good advice to your sisters. I will say to you what I say to my children. Pay attention to how they treat and talk to you. 2 Pay attention most especially how they behave toward and speak about others. Number 2 will reveal their true self. Most importantly find some one with the same faith and values. You are young beautiful lady. Dating is how you weed out the ones that are not meant for you. Keep posting.

@@presleecatherine she’s ok now. She was going through a lot of stuff mentally, so she opted to go to a place to help her for about two months I think. But she’s been back home for awhile now and seems to have learned some coping strategies for anxiety etc.
Love that you started a channel! I don't know if this is appropriate to ask since it's for Jamie. I've been wondering how she feels about her Aurora being her sister and bio daughter. I ask this because I've noticed a strong bond between them on vlogs and them running into each others arms as soon as they see each other. This video only supported my impression.
My Uncle used to live in Spokane Washington but moved to Arizona because my Aunt was having health issues and couldn't live in the colder climate anymore.
Jamie, don't cry. Halie will be okay in due time. Guess what... I'm mentally ill. That is due to my biological father being on drugs when I was conceived. I just found out who he was when I was 36. I am 40, and have decided not to have a relationship with him, due to that, and the fact that he still uses drugs. I feel like him creating another life while intoxicated has taken many things from me, including being normal. I can't drive a car, because gas stations scare me irrationally. I had my kids taken due to my mental illness, so I was robbed of being a mom, so I feel Jamie's pain with Aurora. I also have a son who has Asperger's Syndrome. I feel like that is my fault. Being mentally ill has robbed me of many things in life that someone my age is supposed to be doing like having a career, a car, my kids, owning a home, etc. After my mom dies, I have nobody. My kids were adopted and I never get to see them. So, I don't know why I decided to say all this, but I guess it's because you mentioned Halie and I just wanted to say that as a mentally ill person, I can truly say that Halie will get through what she's dealing with, and I see a bright future for her. Don't worry, Jamie, she'll be okay. I admire your strength to get on camera and be vulnerable with total strangers. You're braver than I and I'm a mental illness vlogger. I'm very camera shy. As a former foster child (never adopted) how is the foster system where u live? Were u both in foster care for the same reason or did something only happen to one of u (don’t have to say details) but they removed both of u so u both were safe? Will Jamie always live with u? ive always wondered if jamie understands that she is auroras bio mom to the full extent? does she have any feelings towards being a mom (does she want to be a mom, is she capable of being a mom)? i have a sister who is 25 and special needs who could never understand how to have a baby or being pregnant and couldn’t raise a child. my sister comprehends at a 3 year old level, so its way different but i wanted to know.

On one of crazy pieces vlogs they revelaed that Jamie was taken adventage of and she got pregnant after that... I'm not sure what happened after but if i remember corectly they couldn't sue him for some reason? (Correct me someone if I'm wrong) I just wanted to inform, because it might be too hard for them to speak about this themselves and maybe not want to adress it
Seriously? What an insensitive question. First of all, why do we throw the word dad around as if just because you get someone pregnant you are entitled to being referred to as "dad". Sperm donor more like it, especially since the P.O.S person took advantage of Jamie. Maybe next time you might want to re think your questioning. Curiosity is not enough to throw out wild questions that could potentially trigger or hurt or stress the person on the receiving end of our questioning.
