Haha. Yeah thinking about it you need lots of power for all the lightning, props, temporary accomodation etc. so it makes sense they need electrician. Just goes to show that we mostly think of people like actors, camera operators, directors in the first instance, forgetting how many other staff / team members are crucial to success of the whole project!

Well, honestly SABATON understated Floor Jansen's presence quite a bit. :) So, one has to have a trained ear to instantly recognize (and look for) her. An impactful and moving piece of musical storytelling anyway.

@@EbonyIvoryReact yeah they've been around since the late 90s. Their newest album The War To End All Wars (from which Christmas Truce is from) is their second full album dealing with World War 1). The only album that is an outlier is Metalizer. It was their first album, though due to issues with the bands original label came out AFTER their second album, and first all military history album Primo Victoria which is also an Easter egg in the video for Bismarck (they're on a tug boat going to the wreck site and the paint the name Primo Victoria on the tugs hull. It could also be a nod to the song of the same name). They have done an album Carolus Rex about the rise of King Charles XII of Sweden and his conquering of Europe, songs about the German U-boat Wolfpacks of the Atlantic in WW2 to songs about the Holocaust (Final Solution, Inmate 4859), songs about the 7 day War in the middle east (Counterstrike), songs about Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom (Reign of Terror & Panzer Battalion), Erwin Rommels 7th Armored Panzer division and the blitzkrieg (Ghost Division) the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (Nuclear Strike), the blood soaked Fields of Verdun, epic arial battles (Night Witches, No Bullets Fly, Red Baron). They have written songs about various heroes of War including Audy Murphy - the most decorated solider in US military history and his battle with PTSD after the war in the song To Hell And Back, songs about the Polish resistance in Uprising and 40:1. To say their catalog is prolific and epic may be the biggest understatement of the past 20 years. I would also suggest checking out the band Evergrey who's former drummer is the drummer for Sabaton (he is also married to Nightwish vocalist Floor Jansen just to get that out of the way lol - Floor did the female choir vocals at the end of Christmas Truce too fyi). Evergrey don't really fit into one particular box. They are quite unique unto themselves. I would suggest the official video from their most recent single Eternal Nocturnal from their 2021 album Escape of the Phoenix. Evergrey hails from Gothenburg Sweden and have been around since 1996 cranking out their brand of dark melodic progressive metal. Enjoy!!

Thanks for the comment. While I know generally about World War One, I'm not a history buff. In Hindsight, reading "Western Front" would make sense to assume no presence of Russia in that part of Europe, but since we are reacting to something for the first time it's all spurr of the moment and just giving our first thoughts. Seeing 1914 and trenches I know it's a World War One if you know what I mean. I just associate Red color with communism and Soviet Union too much, perhaps due to my Polish history.

You are not the first and certainly not the last to make erroneous assumptions and unfortunately the vast majority are Americans. They tend to ignore the rest of the world, and if they are not involved in an event and Americans do not attend, it means that it is unimportant to them. However, I saw that you finally realized that they were soldiers on the western front, so you regained the point you lost at the beginning. And you won another point in my eyes because you stayed until the end and looked at the credit side. Not so much because Floor sings there, but because from my point of view, it is a proof of respect for the whole team that made this video possible.
