Oh my god I'm 16 again. I'm not sure what strayed me away from Bionic Jive, but I will NEVER let that happen again. Thank you so much. In these insane times I needed this more than I can possibly express. Much love.
What a fucking underrated song (and group!) I mean this shit was years before Dead Celebrity Status, which was another little cool group that had the same talking rap-metal thing.
Bionic Jive most definitely deserves to be recognized as one of the underground's all time greatest on a world wide scale. Anything less for them is an absolute insult.
@@datnillavondizzle For over the past two years now, I've been talking with Ako Mack himself off and on over the internet. The next album is finally coming through. Wait for it. 👍 💯
Still bumping Bionic Jive almost 20 years later, seen this band live over 30 times opening for the likes Kottonmouth Kings, Eminem, The Phunk Junkeez, Hed Pe. Hate on the NuMetal all you want but Bionic Jive represented the pinnacle of the genre.
Bionic Jive, Ice-T and Body Count, and RATM are straight up Metal-Rap, nothing "nu-Metal" about them, in my opinion.Same with OTEP and "Artcore," the genre she invented. All openly political, and unintimidated.
Heard this song at like 3am HeadBangers Ball on MTV in 99' (I think)... My mind was blown. I listened to rap, rock and loved the fusion of both... but these dudes took it to another level. The following day I went to the local mom and pop's record store The Record Rack. Had the owner look through his massive album catalog... found the album and ordered it. Had to wait several weeks for it to come in. Unwrapped it in the parking lot and threw it in the deck with 12" JL's in the trunk of the 92' Cutlass Supreme. That album went soooooo hard. The lyricism was like no other rap rock band I heard. I shared them with everyone I could. Fast forward like 10 years... their manager reached out to me because he liked my music. I ended up collaborating with Ako Mack. Craaaaazy
Saw these guys as an opening act on the Anger Management Tour in 2002. After watching them perform this song, I was compelled to buy the album a few days later... Good Stuff!
Yooooooo.....Armaggedon Through Your Speakers was bumpin nonstop in our college apartment back in 2001-02. I hope these dudes swing by these comments every once in a while so they realize how much we all recognize their dopeness. I fuckin loved this band
@@MrDamonte I haven’t checked them out in awhile. Honestly one of my favorite groups of all time! Thanks for letting me know they are still around man!
Seen these guys live in Springfield MO back in 04-05. Bought their album that night and they all signed it for me. I wonder if they'd remember the tall bald white dude with the flesh tunnels, 00gauge 4" labret spike, etc. ;)
I just found out about them this year. I HAVE TO SEE THEM LIVE. I'm tryna jump around and fucking rock and represent dude. Blessings from Central Florida!
I've loved this song for for a long ass time now. Never even thought of looking for more Bionic Jive. I will now, but I will say this. I thought you were all white LoL. No matter, this is the shit! Keep up the great work!
Tracked these guys down after seeing their song featured on the Transporter trailer when it was first released. Worth digging up their "Unreleased" special album if you can find it - some nice alt mixes, etc (think I ordered it direct from their site in '01 or '02).
man i saw these guys 2001 they open up for kottonmouth kings in chicago! its like tech n9ne and metal together it was fuckin awesome then and it still is
I saw Bionic Jive open for Kottonmouth Kings in 01' or 02'. I remember being a few rows back and mind u I have never even heard of these dudes at the time. So I see black dudes come out looking like rappers and I remember being like "oh here we go, some trash ass little hip hop group" then out of nowhere a heavy ass guitar hits with open drop D, I bout nutted in my pants. Then Bionic Jive proceeded to rip the fucking roof off of the Beaumont Club in Kansas City. Best surprise opener I've seen come to destroy.
I just heard this song for the first time last night at a strip club in Phoenix. Wondered why I had never heard it before. Im not into the metal from this era like Korn but this is the sh*t. The stripper totally blew my mind during this song too...
Just here to point out the bullshit that RU-vid smudged out "MOTHER FUCK THE POLICE" in the second verse. So there. Now you know they said that shit. Because that shit needed to be said ELEVEN YEARS AGO. Fuck. This goes hard AF.
