Karikor, Warden of the Tundra, is one of the six heroes who defeated the ancient demon Orzut as it ravaged the world of Ursi. As a tenuous peace emerged, the grizzled war-veteran retreated to the tranquil isolation of Iski; hopeful that his illustrious tenure on the battlefield was at a well-deserved end.

@@PlayStippling maybe the wardens could sort of convince him by saying that if he were to help them, he would be able to prove that he is a better blacksmith than Ekimu. Also, maybe Stiphalu could delve into his experimental phase again by making elemental infused gear for the wardens to use so that they can access elemental powers that they otherwise wouldn't be able to use, such as the warden of water being able to use the elemental powers of electricity. We never had dual elemental protagonists in Bionicle before, so maybe this would be a cool way to introduce the concept? This is just a suggestion, I will still love your own story for your own characters

Another awesome creation. Can’t wait to see where the story is heading. Personally, I could see the blade having a physically corrupting effect, gradually turning his right arm into a more crystalline, icy appendage. It would explain why the blade was frozen away in the first place, as well as show that a member of the fire tribe was needed to free the blade.

I like the use of the Strakk helmet with a little bit of a monocle. Makes it feel more interesting, complex, and unique. I think Bionicle fell into a trap of having these specialized masks for characters (i.e. "this is Tahu's mask"), which makes them feel a bit less interesting. yeah I'm getting serious frostmourne/cursed blade vibes from that. I really do like how Ursi is shaping up. It's a neat mish-mash of concepts that feels very lego-like.

With each addition to the lore I get more and more invested! These videos are amazing! I look forward to seeing the antisocial karikor trying to solve the everfrost issue, although I predict it will not go to plan for him…

happy to see Karikor carry the tradition of Ice-Elemental Bionicle characters with bionic eyes! I never knew you could make something like that with the Strakk helmet. Speaking of which, the way it goes together with the shoulder armor looks so natural! This might be my favorite Warden so far!

Aww thank you Josey! It was fun both respecting the original design of my Protector so many years ago and exploring what a fully-fledge hero would look like. The Glatorian masks +heads offer amazing opportunities to build. So happy you enjoyed the fruits of my labor. It absolutely was a passion-project to tinker with him until he was ready for release.

OH my dear goodness Karikor has a significant edgy style to him in a good way like a badass person which I really love that it reminds me a lot of toa kopaka nuva from the mask of light movie and that was very nice of Eriowar to give him a scope for one of his eyes sight in battle and like if a blizzard happens he can use it get though also I love the voice lines you gave him really helps his badass side and cool no pun intended and I also love the intro where we see his ture colours and personality which fit him very well and how deep his character is about the ever frost spreading and i hope thing with karikor and mairana don't go south like a siblings fight for say 🤗

I'm liking the look of the internal build, and my goodness I _love_ that shield. Shoulder pauldrons look great too (though they may actually be spaulders, I forget my medieval armaments), and I am a big fan of the silhouette. The chest plating was a bit of a turnoff, but its grown on me by looking at the whole of the frame. Good work yet again.

Another awesome addition to the legendary Wardens! I'd say my story prediction would be that Mairana may listen to Karikor, but only because Raknu trusts him. The Matron of Fire, however, does not trust her comrade and views him as responsible for the Everfrost. Could this be part of a bigger plot to sow distrust amongst the Wardens, a plot from an old enemy who seeks revenge? Could this be a ploy from the Lord of Discord, I wonder.

Great moc! This really makes me questing the choice to cover the uniters in metallic armour. I would like to see Raknu possibly betraying Karikor and stealing Isala for mairana

Honestly can agree. I see the design choices for the Uniters but, unfortunately, it only panned out for some of them. Basically any hero who wasn't predominantly Gold got shafted.

THIS IS SO AWESOME AAAAA!!!!! we need instructions for all of the wardens once they’re all revealed. might i suggest whenever you show a white character, you use a black background so that the white figure is more visible? i am so excited to see what the world of Ursi has in store for us!!!

Great video as always Stippling. My only complaint is that it was a bit difficult to distinguish between the MOC itself and the white background. I know the white gives it a nice clean and crisp look, but might I suggest using a shade of gray for the background when a MOC is predominantly white in color?

100% noted. I knew going into this that it would be a challenge. I think there are ways to accomplish what I was after without compromising on clarity and I will continue to explore it! This was probably the hardest figure ever to film since it was white and transparent.

The wardens you've made are incredible! I can't wait for the 30 minute moc challenge, I've been doing the ones you made but i never published the creations on my channel, maybe with the newest 30 minute moc challenge i might publish a moc, and maybe even my attempt on the water warden on how i think they'd look (custom story for that btw, custom design aswell, i do already know your warden of water will look allot better then mine)

I like the big o'l shield, kinda reminds me of some 2015 Akamai MOCs that used Tahu's giant swords. I honestly predict that there'll be less of a rivalry, because while it's common in the whole "fire/ice" duality to be rivals, that actually wasn't the case in Mask of Light, the 2003 movie for Bionicle. THAT rivalry was instead between water and fire, when Tahu and Gali couldn't really seem to get a sort of middle ground until partway through the film.

Creepy whispering in the background? Uh oh. That shield though... Also, here's a building suggestion. I'm not sure all the masks will fit, but the Hero Factory: Brain Attack heads are much stronger and wont break as easily. Only two colors, though, but just a suggestion.

I called it i flippin called it the name of karikor Edit: i believe the two factions of what ever mariana is worshipping and the whisper of isla are going to fight causing the two to fight. And when eirowar gets rakiki he will gain something similar. Maybe the water lady or lad (lindrin idk if they male or female) might find something similar Edit:names

True, but remember Ursi heroes are bound to the regions the inhabit, not necessarily elements. So we're looking for an Island Warden, a Swamp/Marsh Warden, and a Desert Warden.

Thanks!!! The custom gearing was super fun to try and I love telling stories. The Lego team did great but did not have the flexibility to do what I do. I don't have to sell toys just tell a compelling narrative.

@@PlayStippling It's more in terms of themes than story threads, the idea that the spreading Everfrost is almost like a sentient being that can be commanded, reminds me of The Ice in the Winter of The World series, and the fact that Karikor's sword has a name, that could easily be coincidental but the main character in the book series has a sword named Gorthawer. Also the theme of there being imminent war due to the spreading ice. The connections are vague, but it just instantly reminded me of it. Great books anyway, you'd like them, they've got some interesting similarities with Bionicle as a whole, one of the main plot devices is a mask with a power and there's a big emphasis on virtues being embued in works of smithcraft.
