DL Link for the music of the movies 1-3: www10.zippyshare.com/v/6924267... Soundtrack of the first Bionicle movie, The Mask of Light. I do not own this music or claim to own.
Everyone here’s talking about 4:20, but can we please talk about the first part of the song? It’s one of the most epic things you’ll hear. It could be played in any epic fight, and it’ll fit.
4:20 This piece of music fully represents what made BIONICLE what it was. It has sadness, wonder, joy, and grand triumph all rolled into one composition.
samuel1221 True. I personally think the sadness of the track reflected the how horrible the situation was 99.99% of the time for whatever Toa Team was being focused on.
Me looking at all the comments about 4:20 : (whispers under breath) _420 blazing_ in all seriousness though that is a beautiful tune that I remember every once and a while and it just makes me so happy listening to it.
So simple, yet so beautiful and iconic. I can play it on piano, but can you believe that whenever I do it and one of my friends (who is a bassist) hears it, he says that it is laughably simple sounding and therefore complete shit? He is a complete shit!
From Matoran to Toa. From Toa to Turaga. From Turaga into Legend. Turaga, Toa and Matoran. Though we are not perfect, we are united in duty and bound in destiny. This is the way...of the Bionicle.
I wasn't ready for 4:20. I saw the comments talking about it, I knew it was coming, but... man that hit like a ton of bricks. I can't believe it's been... almost twenty years since I first heard this music. Simply incredible.
Bionicle was so much more than a toy. It had depth. It had morals. Its characters were flawed like us, which made them relatable. "Hero" factory has no true heroes to be found in it. They are mere toys, failing to make up for the void where Bionicle used to be. Lego's golden age ended around the same time as Bionicle.
I can understand you, and agree with most of what you're saying, but I feel that LEGO® is now in it's renaicence, with The LEGO® Movie™, Nexo Knights™, and Ninjogo™, wich are all great themes, although NOTHING can rivale Bionicle™.
Kevin Teplik bionicle gained a cult following that hero factory never did, the fans needed to help hero factory and give it a backstory a stop motion movie which I'll be willing to do with some support
Silly Jaller, he had the courage to lead an inferior force in a war for like, litterally a thousand years, but he doesnt have the courage to ask her out
"Hey Bionicle, why did you have to be so special and memorable? You could've been like any other toy theme forgotten to history." "Could've been. But I'm not."
Just got the 2015 Kopaka. Decided to listen to the old mask of light soundtrack. When the tune at 4:20 played nostalgia hit me like a brick an I nearly cried. This amazing music I had forgotten for years came back to me.Thank you Bionicle for all the great memories.
Wow, being a musician and looking back on this score from my childhood, I can appreciate just how well the composer used motives and themes. Not to mention the individual instrumental parts.
If the makers of the Lego movie make a Bionicle film and this theme plays over title, it won't be kids cheering in that theater. It will be their dads.
I cried at 4:20, bringing back the memories of when I waited for that day when I could visit Toys "R" Us and pick out my favorite Toa, Bionicles are a part of me and I will never forget them, thank you.
maybe if we show lego we want them back by buying all their other buildable action figure lines such as hero factory. i know that bionicle is superior, but think about it.
Camry Long Yeah, sounds interesting, but I prefer to remember all of the memories of those times rather than go and purchase Hero Factory sets which never appealed to me. Plus, I probably won't have the time to use any bionicles now a days.
You know Bionicle is in it for the long haul when you and your wife played with Bionicle as a little kids, and from time to time busts out the old bionicle pieces to make a custom moc with each other
Joshua Albright the early bionicles were far cooler than the newest. after metru nui, bionicles became less interesting and weren't as cool as they were before. and the arena(?) -stuff was the worst ; just mixed up parts from al bionicle-generations and no story anymore -.-
Niner Skirata No, it was still good until the Glatorians. Than it died the moment they published the first set. Although, you could argue that it died at the beginning of the Phantoka series, when they decided to not release all of the Toa at the same time. The Mahri were still good, the Inika had horrible head designs, but gave us Kardas, Vezon, and Fenrak. Not to mention Brutaka and Axonn. That was the golden age for the sets. And looking back, they weren't nearly as childish as the new Hero Factory. Back then they were simplistic, and the movies were made for a younger audience. The comics weren't like the new ones.
2:40 my siblings and i used to play Kholi on the trampoline with lacrosse sticks, a tennis ball, and tons of skill. Now i comment about it with a computer, my memories and a heavy heart.
4:20 A dad and his son (around 8-10 years old) are cleaning old stuff in the attic. Suddenly the son found a big box with "BIONICLE" written on it. Child : Dad, what are Bio... Bionicle ? Father : Hmm ? The father joins his son, take the box and sit with his son. He open the box and with chance found turaga vakama. Father : Son, let me tell you about the legends of BIONICLE ... I don't know for you but if i had childs, i would love this to happen. #UNITYDUTYDESTINY
Bionicle has always been and always will be my favorite childhood toy. Played a huge role in my childhood. Bionicle felt more than just a toyline. It was an incredible story of adventure, peril, friendship, and meaning. That Good will always triumph over evil. Everyone and everything has a purpose in life. No matter what lies ahead, no matter what obstacle is in the way, you can overcome it with friends by your side and believing in yourself.
Goodbye G2, we hardly knew of you, but we will remember. Let us hope that we can get back to the roots of G1 for at least little while again, sort of like what Transformers did. After all, this line DID save the entire Lego company. Can't we just treat it with full respect for once?
I remember watching these films over and over when I was younger, now I'm in my 20s. I'll say they're still amazing and bring back some really amazing memories. May Mata Nui be with you all.
The legends may have ceased being told, but the Toa, and their adventures will forever, be in our hearts. Unity! Duty! Destiny! *cue **4:21** to **5:34*
(4:21) "They can take your world." "They can take your heart." "Cut you loose from all you know." "But if its your fate then every step forward will always be a step closer to home."
4:21 makes me cry. Reminds me of being at my old house coming home with a new bionicle, and showing off to my parents how fast i could build it. Then i would take it to my backyard and make them have adventures in my garden. Good memories ;)
Too many memories. It's time to let the legend be reborn. We here must swear, our children's children will never forget, the Great Spirit Mata Nui and his brave followers, and how they resisted Teridax and his dark minions.
*Smiles* I remember bringing home this movie, and watching it for the very first time. So much has passed.... Bionicle has ended.... now it feels like a part of me has died inside. Such an amazing story, and such an amazing toy. How I was hoping bionicle to end was that the toa put MAKUTA to sleep, in mata nui's body. Mata nui(Island) would be back, so would mahri nui, karda nui, metru nui.... back to normal. I'm going to miss building the sets. Goodbye, Bionicle. -80
Official statement on lego's Facebook page: It is told that there exists a mask that will grants it bearer unspeakable power. Made from raw magic and solid gold, it is an Artefact created with absolute precision and times skill. It is known as the mask of creation. The anticipation is over - get ready for Lego bionicle #bionicle2015
Look on the bright side, that's just G2. Perhaps we could always get another line or go back to G1 for a bit longer, sort of like what Transformers did. This IS the line that saved the entire company after all...
_The Toa, having completed their destiny, now return to the stars where all life began. From there they will continue to watch over you._ Lego Website, Bionicle G2's closure
I’m so happy and grateful I was a kid when this was a thing. One of my biggest regrets for a long time was giving away my bionicles when I was 13. I hope that where ever they went some other kid got to play with them and have the same fun that I did.
Nah man. I believe Bionicle had it's great run, and them making a return would be like bringing your love one back from the dead only to see that love one is a walking dead. I started to notice that the story was kinda falling apart during the voya nui saga through the mata nui bara magna saga. Nevertheless, Bionicle will always be in our childhood memories, and The Lego Movie proved it with their 1 second appearance.
Nocturus but we all hope that the leaked images are true. Come on man! We all want their return! Thousands of people, like me, started to play with lego with the bionicle saga! If someone is so stupid to don't want their return, dislike this comment.

Oh my god, me too. I used to sneak them into my bag so I could take them to school. The movies were so great. It just reminds me so much of primary school. The whole track is bloody brilliant. Its that last minute that gets me crying though. :')
Ah... now this is nostalgic. I wouldn't mind if Lego brought back this series. The books, movies and large sets were the best. This makes me want to watch the first movie again. :)
It sucks when they have not made anymore Bionicle movies or other types of merchandise, if there is ppl who remember Bionicle: you are remembering Mata Nui in 2021
Guys! Be happy! Something is happening! BIONICLE is maybe returning in 2015! We have to be happy! We MUST be happy! The legend maybe continues! Watch TTV for more updates.
Chris Auditore but that's bionicle 2010. I was speaking about bionicle 2015, where we gave the toa mata ( don't say it's just a rumor, it is confirmed)
Lightsaber Phoenix No longer Toa Mata. They're castrating the story and tossing out a 3 year kids' toy line-up again. The extensive lore and developed characters are being replaced with patchwork archetypes.
Lightsaber Phoenix It's not Bionicle in anything but name. It's just Hero Factory's crappy simplistic design with a couple of gears thrown on and the names of our original heroes. It feels like an insult. Nepycros You and I are on the same page with this. I'm glad. So many people seem to defend it as though the new building system is something to be admired. Sure the old one had snapping sockets but that was fixable without a new system. You can make so many better things with the style descended from Technic.
Damian Freeman Well, things have to evolve. I just bought Kopaka earlier today, and I'm really satisfied. Just because they use the ball & socket system doesn't mean that they're just like Hero Factory. I guess it's just personal opinion, but as someone who grew up with the old ones, I can't complain at all.
MadMista It's not the ball and socket, the system IS Hero Factory. I grew up with the old ones and their design ad constraction system was superior and allowed for better customisation.
Bionicle will be the greatest myth LEGO had ever made, maybe we could talk about it's amazing tales with our friends or kids.- Bionicle (Especially early generations before Hero factory) = endless nostalgia, thanks to LEGO.
I'm about to cry now. Bionicle was my childhood and this bit of the soundtrack makes me remember all those awesome moments when I got a new Bionicle... :')
Wow... I rarely comment on videos but THIS I will! So nostalgic! I watched the movie when I was 9 which started my obsession with this! Oh, God... curling up with Bionicle books when I was sick and ordering them off of those scholastic catalogs for kids and wow... it just made me realize how fast time really flew by. I'm graduated from high school and I watched this when I was a kid in elementary school. THANK YOU, sir, THANK YOU for the memories.
I use to build bionicle with my big brother when I was little I even watched the movies and even right now I still love it (yes even the low budget movies had some good stuff).
I know my many, many years spent as a fan of Bionicle made me biased beyond reason. But it always seemed to me that, during three movies, Nathan Furst had decided to look a Hans Zimmer, give him the finger and say "So you're the one they call the greatest composer in the world ? Well hold my beer and watch."
i wasn't even alive when the first wave of bionicle came out, and the only bionice i had was matoro from one of those mc donalds poly bags, it even came with the bag which.. its quite surprising now that i think about it
The last part from 4:20 makes me wanna cry in both happiness and sorrow. It's so beautuful! and it's so nostalgic. Thank you so much kind sir for showing this masterpiece.
