@@PaKePo When Greg Farshtey came up with Bionicles as a concept he was undergoing treatment for brain cancer and he liked to imagine that the pills he was taking contained soldiers that were beating his cancer. Mata-Nui is Greg, Makuta is his brain cancer and the Toa are the soldiers in the pills here to beat the cancer.

Yes, but in Metru Nui here, it was just a single city, and the Matoran didn't know that "Dume" was Makuta, while later, it was the whole Matoran Universe, and everyone knew that Makuta was in control.

They are robots. Machines don’t have innate morality. They serve whoever is in charge and ask for nothing in return.

Makes me wonder... What if a Matoran talks about suspecting Turaga Dume to be an impostor while expressing concern for the real one's safety? Would the Vahki just treat the Matoran's fears like any other stray thought or would they consider the possibility, acting on the Matoran's expressed concern?

The scariest part about the Vahki is that they dont think, they are just mindless drones with programming. This is what the Great Beings initially intended the Matoran Universe inhabitants to be like, until they were given free will...just so they can we aware when being enslaved. Kinda messed up.

The matorans need to learn to trust in Turaga Dume, and do their work, after all, a busy matoran is a happy matoran! OBEDIENCE IS HAPPINESS.

In the lore, they were built to replace a previously defected law enforcement robot called Kralhi, but they were programmed to obey the commands of Turaga Dume. Dume was impersonated by an evil force known as Makuta, who was secretly using the Vahki as a task force to do his bidding. I won't say much more for sake of spoilers, though that's pretty much the gist of it.

He didn't make it, but I would have to agree, they were stunning flash films for their time.
