I just recieved the Biore Aqua rich watery essence spf50 ++++ today & I'm sooo excited first thing I did was smell it! Lol my nose must not be working because I didn't smell NO alcohol 🤔 wondering what everyone else is taking about in regards to the smell. It barely smells like anything👍 I recieved the 2019 version. Hope this helps someone in purchasing it
The difference between essence & gel is that essence is purely chemical while the gel is a hybrid of chemical and mineral, that’s why the gel leaves a little bit of white cast.
Both can be used on your body... Probably because the other is more watery, not dense, so bigger bottle for the amount you get. I love Japanese sunscreens, and I regret not buying more when I was in Japanese summer 2019. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t bother me, tho I haven’t tried the newer ones from after 2019. I prefer a satin/matte finish, which was why I loved the 2019 one, from another brand tho, but water gel essence. I can’t stand Hyaluronic acid. It’s in everything now days.
I love Japanese sunscreens too! Western sunscreens burn my skin and make my eyes water. I was suppose to visit Japan a 2nd time this past summer, but was forced to cancel due to the pandemic. One of my favorite countries ♡ Tbh I feel like I should re-do this video bc this was one of my first ever YT uploads, and I feel much more comfortable speaking to a camera now. I would change a few things I said about these products. They are still something I continue to purchase, and I find myself always reaching for them. My skin doesn't have any issues with hyaluronic acid, but I know that's not the case for everyone. And you're right, it's in EVERYTHING nowadays. I'm even seeing it in hair products.
Can someone tell me how makeup holds up with the essence one? Pretty much every sunscreen I've tried both mineral and chemical is horrible for under makeup. The only one that's worked is The Supergoop Matte screen but it's too expensive to be buying on the regular. Every other sunscreen makes my foundation rub off easily with just one touch.
I really don’t like the watery essence.. i tried it when I traveled to japan on summer, and it was too shiny on me even on my friend.. we both get oily look so fast.. but the whole story became different when i used Anessa mild + regular versions.. they are still my one of my best sunscreens ever.. 🙏🏻
I've heard of the Anessa sunscreen, but never used it. I'm currently running low on my sunscreen storage so I'll look at it and maybe give it a try :) tbh one of the reasons I love the watery essence is bc it gives a shine haha I have naturally dry skin so I'm always trying to achieve that glowy look :)
@@tiffanymcnerlin157 so that’s why 😄👍🏻 i think you’ll like the anessa whitening gel or the regular gel type since you have dry skin and you like dewy / glow look.. I didn’t tried them (the gel types) only the milk versions.. and i really love the technology behind their sunscreen ❤️

I would definitely try the watery essence, although I can't find it stocked right now. Yesstyle has been sold out for months after Biore released their new sunscreen 🤷♀️ James Welsh is a big RU-vidr who has oily skin, and he has a video about this product 😊
